South African server down?

What is so funny is my HO is currently SA but if I go to any other zone its Frankfurt come back to my HO still SA so the servers are up just not accepting any new instances

I remember reading a reply from a staff member on one of the original "petitions" for the server that they were only going to get a certain number of instance slots just in order to test the waters here, so this is highly likely the reason a lot of people keep getting re-routed to Frankfurt, because those slots get filled.

They haven't taken into consideration that a lot of central and southern African countries' players also try connecting here for a better connection as well, putting even more load on the server.

It's just a bit silly that we've been telling them for a couple weeks now that this is happening, meaning that there is clearly a high demand for instances in SA, which means surely these servers should get an upgrade if that be the case.

Edit: found the post I mentioned from Fitzy_GGG. note that this is fairly old and they have apparently increased the capacity of the servers by a huge amount since.

Yeah Sounds like we might be the ones with the problem, not GGG seeing alot of people who sound alot smarter then me talking about how we manage our servers Etc Etc ...

Well I been meaning to clean my hideout a bit, so I got that going for me

sooo we have more players than I thought? first time i have seen this redirect since the gateway went live. Was hella confused why my ping was 200

Just got 3 friends to try the game out too...

Seems to be going down/becomes unavailable earlier these past few days, and then becoming available later...

This is getting seriously boring now!! night after night i am loosing my simulacrums due to server defaulting to awful frankfurt server and spiking to 1000ms ! please allow us to choose which server we default to as secondary....
on further testing even connecting to any of the other EU servers also spike to 1000ms

What's funny is GGG are replying to other posts so they must have seen this one with 17 pages, yet they aren't doing anything about it(or at least not telling us what they are doing)

I suspect it will be ignored and the problem will go away when there are less users.

I am nearly finished with the league maybe a week or more then done.
