Showcase of 0.5. melts bosses in seconds - WTF?!

"
- It seems the game is getting more trivial and zoomy with every patch.
- Less and less skill is required.
- Less and less attention is required.
- The only challenge to characters are one-shots.
- Monk new ascendancy showcase melts Xesht in 8 seconds - quite sad to see.
- Build pasted ingame, one button hold to explode whole screen, few seconds to melt a boss. What is my added value to the game that is so easy? Why should I play this? A monkey can do the same in such setting.
-I don't want to "play the minimap" and be overstimulated by shitton of action speed and everything constantly exploding.

I don't want a re-skin of PoE 1.

You start to differ between campaign and endgame. The endgame always was supposed to be close to the PoE 1 base. While the campaign was supposed to be something else.

I guess this is the main problem people have problems digesting. In the beginning PoE 1 and 2 should have been one game, and it was always the target to melt the endgame together.

. Your time played is that of a typical streamer/degen at day 8-9 of the league.

This is like 145 hours or so. It took me around a month to reach that numbers.

On the topic of bosses. I don't care about bosses getting deleted in few seconds. That is basically the goal of the build. Since EACH DAMN MAP REQUIRES you to kill the boss to clear it, sorry. I am not in the mood sweating on some Rust King 100th time at this point. I wish there was an ability to clear the map by completing the Ritual or Breach for example. Until that, sorry. There will be not even a little scent of meaningful combat left in the room once I blow up the boss in one Primal Strike rotation.

Your playtime is very healthy.

I agree with you mostly, but I'm ok with map boss being the completion requirement. Killing map bosses within 5s should be a standard at endgame.

Sweating? After you killed it 100th of times already? How?
My "hot take" is that if I can kill a boss in just a few seconds, it's not a boss.
And that is not dependent on how good my build is.

If I can roflstomp the boss then you may as well just put a white rarity mob there and stop pretending the game has bosses.

A boss fight, being a boss fight, should take a notable amount of time to beat.
Boss fights should be measured in minutes, not seconds.

If the content attached to a given boss, the dialogue, the animations, the move set, phase switches, arena changes, anything that can happen during that boss fight, if it would take, say, 3 minutes to see it all, then 3 minutes is the fastest kill time that should be achieved.
The time done when the best players use the best builds. Lesser players using lesser builds would need more time.
Boss fights should take longer and have less one shots.

As an added note, GGG was wrong to implement the update that put a boss on every map in endgame.
There should be variety in endgame mapping, and part of that variety is that not every map should have a boss.

Most people get tired of dodging the same mechanics over and over at some point and just want the boss to die faster. Instead of dying to a 1 shot mechanic.

Hypothetically if (if the game worked this way) you were playing elden ring and had to fight melania 100 times to farm 1 item you certainly would never want to have to dodge the swan move or the orange stuff slam thing, or whatever its called i cant remember.

Not necessarily rust king but some of them have 1 shots like the hallway into the circle arena slam dude.

Well the mantra is.. that according to standards of meaningful combat I should learn the mechanics and dodge roll like crazy during each boss encounter. If such design could exist in the game I am pretty sure you will already develop anxiety after 10th consecutive map.

If I feel weak in Act 1 and I am still weak by reaching level 90... Then what is the point? Feeling misery?

PoE2 won't change the formula, just like PoE1, everything ultimately boils down to a stat check.
It's just a showcase. We have no idea what's the level gap between the boss and the player in that showcase and there's now a whole "Atlas Class" dedicated to buffing bosses.

People will get mad about this comparison but... this really isn't all that different from the “Do you guys not have phones?” line that Blizz guy did. Different setting/issue... same out of touch energy.

I don't even care about the way the mods will react. This comparison is just insane. [Removed by Support]
