Seems people prefer games based on the TITLE OF THE GAME (franchise) instead of what the gameplay looks like... it's why millions of people bought Diablo 4... ok honey boo boo???

Sure, it could be that... or, and far more likely, games that are too easy and have too many "QoL" features are also far less engaging and get stale quickly. As much as players say they want things easier, in reality they also get bored of it really quickly because it's too easy.

Endgame of Last Epoch is not easy... high level dungeons are goddamn BRUTAL and it needs a TOP TOP TOP tier build to beat them... sorry but you have no clue what you're talking about... tier 3 and tier 4 dungeons are "F*ck you!!!" difficulty... you get your ass handed to you a million times if you're not really good at making a good build and crafting perfect items...

Also, yes, so sorry, but to you a crafting system that actually allows to KNOW WHAT YOU'RE CRAFTING is a "quality of life" and makes the game "too easy"... sorry I don't wanna waste my days clicking and rolling gamba on on items until I eventually make a useable one after wasting hours!!!

I have played LE, to include high tier dungeons. The game, overall, is easy and that includes the end game. If that's your type of game then go have fun, but some of us want something with more challenge and depth to it.

I can't say I have the same experience. I play SSF and only use what I can buy, make or loot myself. I don't need to speedrun the progression and I don't compare myself to those who do full screen clears pressing one button (—builds that will most likely get heavily nerfed). I get meaningful upgrades pretty much every day. If it's not for one character, it's for another. I find Uniques I can use. I pick up white and blue versions of gear I want to try "craft", and often enough it turns into an upgrade for one of my characters. I collect white accessories I can Chance Orb. I don't even sport much increased rarity, only a meager 40 or so percent. And if I don't get items I can equip, I at least get currency.

Currency is NOT LOOT!!!

Currency is money to buy loot... a looter ARPG should have loot on the ground that you find, get excited about the cool new item that dropped and use it... not only pick up money and currency to go to the market... that's not gameplay, that's having to go to IKEA on a Saturday morning... and it's also called A CHORE!!!

Not to mention in poe1 we had plenty of options for target farming, which don't exist here.

Yet. This is still early access. I expect a lot more stuff coming.

I think you have picked the wrong game to play. 🙃

Have you even really played POE?

There is no currency, there are crafting items that players use for trade. No currency, it's a barter system. Tomorrow the player base could decide that white gloves are the new main currency.

Ok, so then because you find Last Epoch easy (which it is to some extent) you don't need to include any of the absolutely GROUNDBRAKING mechanics they have created into new games... also Last Epoch would be instantly hard if you just dropped the damage numbers a bit... PoE2 even if you up the damage numbers with defenses being useless and being one shot all the time without being able to avoid it is still gonna be shit...

Also The fact that LE has a fantastic Loot Filter makes it instantly better...

Also the fact that Last Epoch has a FANTASTIC SSF system vs Trade league system makes it a much more rewarding game...

LE gives you freedom to have fun... PoE2 forces you into very specific patterns that give you zero freedom and zero creativity and forces you to either follow them or have the game tell you that you're trash and force you to start over until you're forced to play the cookie cutter meta...

Anyway, Last Epoch is a video game that allows the player to customize his fun and enjoy it...PoE2 is not a video game but a full time work and chore that makes you just grind money to go to vendors and traders and spend it...

There is no currency

Soooooooooooooooooo... why do we have a CURRENCY STASH TAB?

PoE 2 even have gold to buy gear from vendors.

CURRENCY isn't some players made up thing, GGG recognize those things as CURRENCY, so there is CURRENCY in the game.

CRAFTING currency, not TRADING currency. Again, it is PLAYERS that decided what holds value and what does not.

Yes, POE2 added gold which is an UNTRADABLE item so it does not serve the purpose that gold does in other similar games.

There is no dedicated currency item in POE1 or 2. It is all loot.

Great, so you go have fun in LE and let the rest of us enjoy POE2. If I ever decide to play LE again I'll be sure to say hi in game.
