" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VOd3NP_MzU Anyway, what you don't understand about term ''Early Access''? POE 2 is not finished product. Many things are missing, balance is all over the place, many systems are placeholders. Why you act like this was 1.0 release? https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6554-ED29-FBDB-1612 Early Access is a unique development model that allows games to be played as they progress towards a full release. Early Access encourages ongoing updates from developers, while letting players participate in direct feedback through gameplay and community involvement. If I were GGG reading these rants, I’d likely think that many players are overreacting. It’s a bit embarrassing to see this kind of response from the community. Let’s try to keep the discussions more level-headed, please. Last edited by Waiden#9514 on Jan 2, 2025, 4:10:07 PM

You only read one part of my response didn't you. Got triggered by currency and ignored that I am playing SSF (Solo Self Found) and finding loot every single day for at least one of my characters that is an upgrade. When I say buy, I mean I go to an NPC with my Gold and gamble to try get a item I can work on, sometimes I get an Unique as well. Most of my upgrades are from picking up items on the ground, using currency, as in materials, and enhancing that piece of gear. Sometimes I get a direct upgrade as a drop as well. My +6 to Cold skill levels Staff was a yellow I got off the ground in example that I put on my Freeze Chronomancer. Juice your maps and you will find loot. At the very least make them yellow. You don't need to use Exalted Orbs on them, but upgrade to Regals at the very least. Another kinda exciting thing to come across in the maps is the traveling merchant that gives you a random selection of Uniques you can pick; no fights, just go in, pick from a random selection of Uniques, and you're done.

I stopped around level 94. I was able to craft a ~530 top end phys warstaff but since then it's been tedious to upgrade anything.
It goes a little like this: 1. Pick up every good base 2. Slam with currency 3. Cross fingers Hypothetically I'll get lucky at some point and get the unbelievably rare combination I'm looking for. There are a few tricks to optimize my chances but those involve rare currencies and feel bad high stakes RNG rolls. When will I get lucky? Maybe 10 hours, maybe 100 hours, maybe 1000 hours. No thanks. There's nothing worse than feeling like my next upgrade is totally random. To me, this feels exactly like the terrible D4 masterworking system. "Hey, grind mats so you can pull the slot machine lever an arbitrary number of times". That's exactly the same thing we're doing here. Even being smart with currencies, my chances of an upgrade are the exact same every slot machine lever pull. RNG can be fun but not like this. I guess POE isn't for me though so I'll take my money elsewhere. |

Loot is only good because it IS hard to find things. Getting guaranteed upgrades or rewards is extremely bad. Even playing SSF it's not really that hard to find things and if you're in trade it takes like 1 day to finish your character.

" If that's how you feel, then why are you here? Why not go and play a game that you actually like, instead of making drama here? You would save everyone time and stress, yourself included. |

I think you're talking about the end game where the currency is sorely lacking if we don't play in a group... On the other hand, the campaign doesn't overdo it of course it's a bit long but see it as a die retry I never exchanged whatever it's before t15 then if you're really talking about the campaign yes it's really a problem of skill... It certainly needs to balance the currencies a little in the end game but if they make you win the game from act 1 there everyone goes leave the ship.

" That would be nice, however this game has a very very long way before it is "Gud". I'm doubting they can improve the game to were it is "Gud" even in 2 years. |

The Post is valid.
It has nothing to do with skill, so ignore the 12 year olds. PoE is not made to be a game that you rely on getting drops in. A request was made previously to beef drops in SSF only and make characters non-transferable, but was immediately and strongly rejected. Creating a SSF mode for PoE is already GGG catering for that mindset more than they wanted. You have to remember that the end Goal for GGG is to have a small amount of 'chase uniques' and have primarily 'chase rares' that can practically only be obtained by gamble crafting with currency. More specifically GGG has the vision to have the ultimate auction house. It is why it is being done last, and also why it has had so much work done but still not yet been implemented. The 'Pay to create a Unique' system of PoE1, along with the 'Pay for unique' of Diablo, coupled with the inflation gutting currency sink of 'Gamble craft the ultimate better than unique item' is the ultimate loop always wanted. Someone being able to sell a 'virtual' item for $big$ that they can make in 2 seconds is the ultimate dream of any ARPG/Gambling run gaming system. SSF will never be anything. The only real concern is which grubby pricks will get their hands into the system once it's complete and full RMT. (Existing item creation aside and silent RMT license aside.) When a perfect Temporalis or re-vamped headhunter sells for $10k is when they will stop working and leave a 'team' to run re-rolling seasons. Sadly most RMT will come from Asia so Tencent will probably own GGG completely long before then. Universal Law - Balance Last edited by Belurges#7110 on Jan 2, 2025, 8:24:11 PM
