Why is there no auction house in POE?

The irony of this entire thread is that an AH does exist in PoE... on console. Instant trading. Offline sales. No invites. No chat spam.

And low and behold: the economy didn’t implode or ruin the game. It is the literally the ONLY thing better about the console version versus PC. If they would give console players better search tools it would essentially be perfect.

The console version is clunky asf anyway, so who cares. Tried it, was horrible. PC version is much better. Wouldn't play the console version if I was paid to.

Maybe if the game didn't rely on lv 60 item bases when your lv 90+ people would upgrade gear more. My hc char, is lv 90 in lv 60-65 gear because I haven't found a single drop up to t12 maps that was better than anything I was using, and thats just sadness. The crafting in PoE is aweful because its pretty much pure rng. It'd be nice if we go to use a annul orb, if we could SELECT what we want gone, instead of praying for rng to pick the right modifier you want gone, and if it doesn't we have to waste even more time and resources to fix it back first.

I could buy items off other players but think of it, where is the fun in that? its more fun to get a drop yourself and have it be useful, sadly this is almost non-existant in PoE past act 9, as even t12 maps drop the same base items from act 9-10 often with even worse stats. This is why once I hit maps I pretty much stop playing as the maps drop the same crap from act 9 and 10 for the most part. There is just nothing there to keep me going. I mean think of it, if you just buy all the items your build needs.. what is the point to.. keep playing? as your never going to find anything better with the way items stagnate around level 60-65 or so on average.

Its also pretty retarded to be a lv 90 char still using lv 60-65 base items, because nothing really exists higher. At that level you need thousands of armor, or evasion to really make any diff, and lv 65 items have at most 300 armor with some body armors in the 600-700 range if your lucky. A ilv 80-90 item should have armor in the thousands to match up with whats needed to maintain the protection. Weapons also scale poorly past lv 60-65 as well, which really hurts any build that relies on weapon damage as part of their skill calc. Spellcasters and minion users don't really notice this as the base damage for them is the gem itself, so the weapon doesn't matter much base stat wise. In diablo 3 at least, when a item drops at a higher ilv it has higher base stats to match its item level, every arpg and most mmorpgs use this system I don't get why PoE's devs do not seem to understand it.

I'd prefer an AH myself to the current system, search in game, find what I want, that has the stats I want and then buy it, no need to contact the player and hope they actually reply, which in metamorph standard its infuriating how often people never reply to tells when I am trying to buy something. I often go thru 6-10 people before I finally get one who replies. If there was a AH I could avoid all this aggravation. Only issue would be currency flucuation, like 1 Ex is worth 100-120 or so chaos, and it changes, they'd have to have some way to stablise it. So a 3.3 ex item would be 3 Ex 30 chaos or something in the AH. Currency exchange is really the only issue I see with an AH system, They could have a currency section of the AH where people can list their things and what their want per unit and have that be automated to control the rate.

Because no one important wants an auction house.

China has one the game is made by GGG but a company in china bought it.

so need a auction house sick having be online to sell stuff.

and when buying stuff sick messaging 20 players

PoE don't have AH because devs are too scary to test it in dedicated league.

We can easy have one league and see it will be disaster or salvation.
If hideout npc / AH / mail system will be abused or just make thing worse it's so easy to delete it after 3 months.

BUT GGG HAVE NO COURAGE TO DO THAT TEST LEAGUE.
