No trade - no problem. The gap between traders and non-traders is already very huge. And they want even more. Path of Trade Simulator.

" they said it in interviews a dozen times: they implemented the trading option to enable you to theoretically sell your item to others. the option to trade it is what gives 99% of drops their value. on the other hand, buying items is spoiling the fun of crafting or finding the items themselves for buyers, so the game isn't really keen on making it easy to trade. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" I am not persuaded by that argument. I haven't personally seen anything that says that GGG have made it easier than they intended (they may well have as I don't claim to be omniscient). However, if that is the case it's hard to see how that would enable bots. Every game that has a trading element has bots, they are unavoidable and right now they dominate currency trading. I may well be wrong as I don't profess to have expertise in this area. I honestly don't know what the right answer is, what i do know is that the manifesto is out of date and given how important trading is to the game it should be updated. I also feel that TFT needs to be explicitly considered by GGG. I am not saying TFT is bad just that it enables the effective circumvention of the ideas within the manifesto. GGG may be ok with that and if so great, however, we need to look at how the environment has changed in the years since the manifesto was written. TFT is another reason why you don't need in-game marketplace. If you already have abusive trade community, why do you need more?
