Why was Hexblast destroyed???
When using Vaal Smite, it feels very similar to Hexblast Mine, doesn't it?

Oh so you dont want to use Havoc because its not as OP as normal Hexblast was?
Too bad. |

" The playstyle is actually mostly the same I have no idea where people get that notion freeze is so important for defense, on my whole time playing the build, i only got it to proc consistently when i was at a damage point i dont need it anymore. Its just too unreliable on anything that matters. Freeze as a mechanic works counter to the build: freeze requires large amounts of damage in relation to the monster hp on individual hits and the mine build scatters the damage across dozens of mines(unless you somehow makes it work without minefield sup), that makes it only reliable on trash, but extremely inconsistent everywhere where you actually need it(and a damage nerf of 50-70% you advocated would make it even less useful, with such a low damage on individual mines, the freeze woudnt even get the minimum 0.3 sec duration to proc) And about the "trick" of ring + bots, its still there: just gonna have to swap the curses, hunter ring to despair on hit and punishment on skitterbots for offense or a defensive curse for defense. Or use enfeeble/temporal chains on hit and despair on skitterbots, that is viable with havoc because it dont removes curses. Also, you can still shock: just start using the profane proxy on the left finger If youre fine with a 70% damage nerf, you should be fine because thats pretty much what the nerf was, a huge damage nerf on bossing and tough yellows(where the freeze is not reliable), but still largely unchanged damage for general mapping, so if anything, it was more merciful than a straight 50-70% damage nerf. Trickster variant shoudnt feel the patch too badly. Occultist was smacked twice over, i think the ralakesh nerf is an even bigger hit than having to swap to havoc talking about general mapping. Having to drop inner conviction seriously hurts As for "curseless" hexblast... that is still not a thing, havoc needs a curse to proc the area damage, just like default hexblast does |

This is the thread I was waiting for after finishing the league 9+ months ago. I had hoped Hexblast would be nerfed before Settlers so I had an excuse to stop playing. Then it wasn't so I tried to do just 40 challenges but they were an awful chore and I min-maxed the build again.
People posting about 15-30 million damage really have no idea what the scaling is when your Hexblast gem is level 38. Here's my last two league POBs: 3.25 https://pobb.in/xiCeqOCswfEa 3.24 https://pobb.in/45znbj88cJui This build was a delete button, not a playstyle. I hope that 3.26 is everything you hope and dream it will be. I'm glad GGG finally made this decision easy for me. |

" If that's really what you took away from the entire discussion, then I honestly can't help you. Maybe try improving your reading comprehension |

Ive read it all. And even tho you dont want to admin it directly, its only reason why you want ur Hexblast back and dont want to play Havoc.

" Just out of curiosity, why are you playing a build you don’t like? And is the only solution for you to stop playing it if the build gets removed from the game? Is this some sort of OCD? |

" You dont even realize how many people like this are out there. "Im sick of this builds already but its strongest build in the game so I have to play it. Not worth playing anything else". There is a reason we use term meta SLAVE. |
