RF next?

Check poe ninja! in Settlers 7% of players league started with hexblast. It might have been overused 5 leagues ago but now it was in a good position.

This is why i don't get the super hard deletion of the gem. If damage is the huge concern, drop its damage x less instead (30-70 or however much they feel is needed)
Or if the concern is that the skill won't be used as self cast (which it barely ever was to begin with) Then just add a tag to it so it reads "Triggered skill deals x less damage" Or Mines deal x less damage
Then you'll keep the selfcast ability and then also us miners can still enjoy it to hopefully get it up to 10-15mil area where itll still feel good for mapping and okay for bossing.

That said investment is quite high still anyway imo.
This was my setup. That's not including a bunch of 5-10 divine jewels
Edit: Also i'm aware it's not suuuper impressive gear i've. But it's what i gathered in about the 3-4 weeks i played. Then other stuff came up and i've not played since. Except a quickie in phrecia for the mtx.
Kinda regret not playing more now tho.

Edit: Added in pob if you want to see my jewels etc. It's stuck at lvl 97 for some reason tho but i'm 98

7% of ALL league starters playing Hexblast is.....insane. That is a HUGE percentage.

Should have just been reduced in power though, not gutted.

I don't see the problem. You've had YEARS to play and enjoy Hexblast. Time for a new build?
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

No it's not!

Lightning strike was 17% of leaguestarts in Settlers!
Now that's Huge!!!

Ice nova was 9%

And hexblast came with 7% together with other popular builds

Rigthious fire was 5%
Because it was a mistake to begin with, it was given a brutal cast time to justify its damage and specifically a trigger limit to prevent it being used with CoC/CwC (talking about when it was reworked post doom being removed here)

What a shame they forgot about proxy casts and just left that in there, if only all skills would have 5s cast time that all its numbers were balanced around but we never actually interacted with due to a bypass.

Like i'm sorry OP but its had its time and it was stupid to begin with, the only question you should be asking is why was such a fundamental outlier left for so long when it clearly had a hole in the new limits set on it.

Maybe you did, i never ended up trying it out until settlers. Since i didn't like mines in the past i didn't think much of it. Then i saw how it played and decided to try it out. And turns out i loved it. My conceptions came from far back when arc mines and spamming D was the way hence i didn't enjoy mines much back then.
I didn't realise how much automaton and the crawlers helps.

It plays like a nice version of srs kinda (another favorite build of mine since back in 1.2 or 1.3 wasn't even meta back then when i played it)
And luckily i've been able to enjoy srs a lot over the years. It's gone through its changes but never gutted. So why should this be any diffrent?

Also zenit/ls etc builds still work mostly because their obscene damage. Hence i'm fine if they halve the damage of HB say 50% It would make my build do 15mil dps instead with the gear above i posted.

Which for that investment is more than okay imo.

I never liked the concept of deleting gems, same how i realy miss old vspark or coc discharge.

You do realize that....just because others were higher doesn't still mean it wasn't a problem, nor that it was a huge percentage to have?

The game has how many skills? And a full 7% of ALL builds use 1 of them? A full third of ALL builds use 3 skills? That is absolutely awful.

I'm not so sure you are digesting what that number truly means. Nor the fact that it's been in that same position for multiple leagues.

Why is it okay to have 100mil bow builds in still then? or ls which will still be like 25mil dps or zenit etc.

I'm fine if they nerf this down from my 30mil to 15 mil dps so i can still enjoy it.
It's realy not that op and requires quite the investment as you can see from my gear above. It doesn't realy feel super good until you start getting the +1 skills and crit multi up.

Completely wrong. It's been a "league starter" for multiple leagues BECAUSE of the low investment it takes for huge damage numbers and feelsgood play. The scaling (which is what you are actually talking about) was also quite strong, making it incredibly hard to compete with.

Not to mention the fact that its a mine build, and deletes bosses before you see them.
