Steam is going balistic
Nerfing everything too hard didn't just affect the best 0.1 builds, they nerfed skills nobody was playing, they nerfed things from level 1 up, and the level 1 support gems that were staying in builds from start to finish, everything cool you could do with skills to feel stronger in act 1-2 made you legit weaker than a weapon attack (unless you played a few specific things). They didn't just bring the strong builds from the top end in-line, they murdered them, and their distant relatives.
After that, they just reduced monster HP "because if everything is weak it's the same" which just leaves a bad taste for players and doesn't really fix anything. Doing 25% less of nothing still feels like doing a whole lot of ZDPS and not having fun, as well as cheapens the game for people who liked the challenge. So they removed early power making people on a fresh start unhappy, deleted every build which made standard players unhappy, didn't make the challenge players happy by reducing hp, and they didn't make the casual players happy because they still do ZDPS just 25% less of it. I believe Jonathon's comment on this was "players think they were good because they were playing something we changed and they think they figured the game out" well I say that GGG is too afraid to nerf things mid-patch because of backlash, and then when it is time for new content they make too many significant changes from too many angles all at once and don't foresee the consequences fully, leading to a rushed and poor power curves for most skills that has everyone only playing new things. The entire 0.2 release was just an Amazon test, and they just over nerfed everything else. As soon as people are done with one or two builds on her they are done with 0.2. " Also a sidenote I wanna add to that - By nerfing everything, the player DPS numbers go wayyy down. It frustrates ppl when they look at their DPS with each skill. Their DPS is barely progressing at all overtime. It just crawls to the next hundred.. then the next hundred.. then the next. People like big numbers! |

You know I have a theory. Maybe GGG wants to make players leave, because they already have their money and they want to reduce the community to the people who they know will stay so they can get feedback from that "core" community only, because that's the people whom they will develop and improve the game for.

You are absolutely right. We don't need 120k players, 70% of whom complain, whine, spread false information, insult others... Just leave. If you can't support a game in Early Access, then get out!

imagine, if for every post that received "moderation" we got an equal amount of responses to feedback too; like this:
Player: There's a bug that locked my amulet and distilled emotion in the UI, and I can't get it back without farming another distilled emotion. GGG: We were unaware of this issue and although it will not be implemented in the next patch, we will be adding this to a list of things that need to be addressed. Thank you for playing and helping us make the VISION become a reality. Player: Loot feels terrible. I play mostly ssf, but I use the currency vendor when I play trade league, too. I am unable to progress any of my characters once I hit level 90. I feel like there is no real way for me to improve my gear. GGG: We are aware of player sentiment on loot. Next patch we are looking at making some small changes in certain loot drops, but want to wait until adding all of the skill gems until changing overall loot drops. We appreciate your patience while we continue developing the game into the fun experience we want our vision to be. Please wait until the patch after full gem release, and then leave more feedback once loot changes are made. Thank you for playing and helping us make the VISION become a reality. "You know, many of them supported the game for years even before Early Access. And the toxicity and spread of false information is not exclusive to one or another group. [Removed by Support]

" It feels very one sided to me. |

" That's what happens when your view is one sided. Shocking, I know. |

"It's just majority and minority bias. Let's say 50% of ppl are "toxic" for whatever reason. If group A has 100 ppl, you have 50 who are toxic. If group B has 20 ppl, you have 10 who are toxic. If now these groups interact with each other, the ppl in group B face a higher total amount of ppl who are toxic, while the toxicity percentage-wise isn't any different. [Removed by Support]
