Steam is going balistic

What do you consider fundamental? If server performance and loot isn't fundamental for an online arpg then what is?

That there is a loot based system is fundamental. How it is balanced is not, that's derivative. Right now it is unbalanced, and the preview of the next patch admitted it so at least. It should keep improving even beyond what's promised even. The server issues are also something derivative of other factors. Jonathan mentioned in a recent interview that the EU servers are getting ddos attacks on the daily, for instance. That's beyond their control for now.

First 4 negative reviews actually say nothing constructive.

One of them is a 1k hour player that says the game sucks...

Seeing a bunch of salt around not having broken .1 builds anymore....

Someone saying a build requires 100 divines....

Whining about mage builds being dead.... no you just dont know how to build anything without broken archmage and grim feast....

honestly 99% of these seem to just be whining/vulgarity/knowledge issues and not an indicator of anything.

a) it's not a professional review made by a gaming journalist, it doesn't have to be constructive

b) 1k hour could be from 0.1 when it sucked less. Or it could be from poe1 player who really wanted to give the sequel a chance

c) no amount of copium will change "Mostly Negative"

A) review saying something is bad because its dumb, or sucks because its stupid is useless to even put. Dont need to be a gaming journalist.

B) 1.2k hour with 80 hours in the last two weeks (full time job)

C) Who asked?

If that's a factual statement, then you're saying you took the time to read every single negative review. How long did that take?
Yes, some neg reviews are not much constructive.
But still.

Mostly negative - it shows something isnt fine with the development and the way game goes.

GGG needs to lean into distinct game modes. Give players what they’re asking for—buffed drops for those who want smoother progression, and higher difficulty for those chasing challenge. The solution isn’t compromise; it’s separation. Build around different modes and let each player find their lane.

The problem is that loot is bad all around and they said they are only fixing it on wisps and bosses. Doesn't give me much confidence they will fix issues moving forward

But it's not "Mostly Negative", though. It's "Recent: Mostly Negative and All Time: Mostly Postiive". This is an indication not of a problem with the game itself but a problem with a recent update. The thing about changes from updates is they can be fixed. If it becomes such a systemic problem that GGG refuse to fix to the point even all time reviews see a shift, then that'd be another topic.

They said they are fixing Bosses and Wisps *next*. Since I can't see the future, I don't know if this fix will be enough. But if it isn't enough, I really have no reason to believe it will be the last time they touch loot.

Im also sceptic about upcoming loot changes.
Bosses and whisp are not much.

regular rares? currency ? Thats more important then some bosses.

I'm not even sure Loot is the problem.

It might actually be fixable by just a global Monster HP change.

Loot is absolutely the #1 problem as there is no WHY to play at all. Every single other complaint in the game is lessened by the non-existence of loot and a WHY to play.
