One death per map is honestly fucking dumb as hell.

The game is punishing enough with the loss of exp, the fact that loot is scarce to begin with with upgrades being nearly impossible to find outside of hocking your exalted orbs on a third party site.

Mapping is for farming. When you die and have to start that map over, you've lost time; that is supposed to be the punishment. Deleting the map and making you start a whole new one is not just a bad idea, its borderline sociopathic. This is by far the worst thing I've seen in this game so far. You can't tack on multiple different punishments and then rip the map away as well, that doesn't make any sense.

just dont die.

Get better defenses, play better, many options other than dying.

How about actually fixing the game instead of forcing the players to play around the bad design.
My man has 2 divs equivalent and says he’s drowning in currency. Lmao. You don’t eve know what’s going on around here do you? Or did I misunderstand your comment?
I play SSF divs are meaningless. I was explaining that crafting in this game is a joke. It just gambling.

Until they fix the balance issues between 2k life builds and 20k es builds, until they fix the invisible on death effects and skills that hide them such as poison cloud, until they fix the dodge rolls getting stuck on a pebble, until they fix the terrain being hard to see clearly, until minion ai can properly walk through a door, and deli bugs where bosses are stuck behind walls that you cant attack but they can somehow still attack you, until they fix some white mob accidentally doing 1million dps because of a code error, until they fix mana drain guards with 100 percent move-speed wrecking you, until they fix over-tuned map mods like 50 percent LESS cdr while pushing arch-types like grenadiers completely reliant on cdr to attack on an already delayed damage build causing laughable deaths due to reload mechanic failures where you can't fire a loaded bolt.. Then yes, I totally agree. It's a hot mess right now unless you gave in and went with the meta.. I am expecting a lot to happen over the next few weeks but who knows really.. everything's fine lol.

Please provide actual feedback in the feedback section of the forums. Discsussions can go to the appropriate place. "This sucks" isn't feedback and there are already a ton of other posts saying the same thing. It helps the devs if we provide actual feedback in these forums instead of cluttering with same opinion everyone else that is dying has.

I'm sorry but I said that something is wildly too punishing and listing 3 ways a death punishes you and stating which one doesn't need to exist.....

...... and you think that doesn't constitute "feedback"?

You should apply for GGG, sounds like you're just their type.

Go make zero sense somewhere else.

just dont die.

Tell that to the Rares that one-shot people on sight, tell that to the latency causing you to fail dodge rolling at the right time, tell it to the Vaal ghosts that chain-freeze you, or the venomous crabs that basically machinegun you down before you can blink. etc.

Get better defenses

That is easy to say, but how are you supposed to do that if you keep dying while trying to farm?

"
play better

Gatekeeping much?

And what about how very unbalanced maps are? Some of them are a walk in the park while others have the deadliest combinations of monster types and mods that make them unreasonably hard, even when you run it with a blank T1 stone and no juice of any kind. It's Russian Roulette.

And finally, let's not even talk about how unbalanced classes are, where eg. the Sorc is a glass cannon that has a tough time coming online properly, while the Monk can facetank the whole campaign with one hand behind his back.

If you aren't dying, the game is too easy.

It's just the game trying to tell you that dying is bad and that building a solid character is important.

If we wanted to play a game mode where dying is bad, we'd be playing hardcore. How about letting people play for fun. Building a solid character is still something that will happen. People die, waste time respawning and getting back to where they were, progress through content slower, etc. They're still incentivized to improve their build.

In hardcore dying is not bad, it's a life shattering event heh, your heart skips a few bits when happens. Char gone, gear gone, hopes and dreams gone.

Here you loose stuff and tiny bit of xp, and there is a thread about it on 1st page that will soon be 100 pages of crying. What kind of mindset is that, punishment for death is wasting time to get back and slower progress? That's pathetic and immersion breaking, every single game should have punishment for failure, and overwhelming majority does, it's normal, not sure how arpgs created this shameful participation trophy approach to failure, but I root for it to disappear asap.

It's yet-another lame-duck mechanic that they didn't think through apparently.

Some classes are simply going to die more than others. That's just the reality of it.

That means they won't progress because they die in a map and lose the map.

And don't even get me started on exp penalties... Completely pointless in a PVE game.

You sound like you know more about those games than this one.
