One death per map is honestly fucking dumb as hell.

The single biggest improvement they can make here imo is a death screen.
Just tell me what I died from, with a damage type breakdown as well, so I know what I can work on(or what to avoid).

Yeah - in PoE1 such a thing exists...for the tencent-citizens but not the western gamer.

(I heard rumors you aren't allowed to name the country or get banned, so tencent-citizen it is)

Phone games for bored housewives have more punishment for failure than this.

You sound like you know more about those games than this one.

In a way yes. My wife plays a lot of those, I tried to beat her records, various games usually some tetris esque system with additional dexterity stuff here or there. You play for an hour and finish a bit short of the record, no char no exp no gear, nothing just gameplay. Wife also gets mad, rage quits, but next day tries again, something that apparently is too much punishment for arpg vets around, those quit or cry to the manager.
+1, please reduce the amount of on death effect, or make it more visible

"Get better defenses" is a moot point when you get one-hit KO'd anyways even with 90/90/90 res and 75% evasion.
I like relaxing in poe1, cuz 1 death does not punch me several times into the face.
1 portal gaming should go away.

Yes, please!
As a former HC player since Diablo 3 and many other ARGPS, I really like the new mechanic. I cannot play HC anymore because of IRL responsibilities and a bad internet connection but the death-restriction almost makes mapping for me as exciting as playing HC did. I really enjoy it even though I sometimes curse if I die.

Ok but this definitely doesnt represent the majority experience on this game whatsoever.

The last guy to have the opinion that 1 death is good is also a hardcore player. If only there was a mode you guys could play and leave us alone.

Not strange a HC player liking a HC mechanic... on a softcore enviroment.

It's the other way around, trivial softcore with banal gameplay and shameful mechanics like no zone/ boss reset, forced people who want some dignity in gameplay into hardcore. Go play Sims or whatever participation trophy game there is and leave us and this supposedly dark, serious game alone.
