One death per map is honestly fucking dumb as hell.
For me it is not the one life per map alone that is dumb ... it is the way you just die in an instant after clearing most of the elites on the map without any issues ... sometimes to normal mobs even or perhaps a five-day after death explosion.
It is the way this makes you feel, losing the map that way. Hopefully, this is due to incorrect damage calculations or silly elite modifier stacking. After this happens on the same level map 4-5 times in a row after completing a few maps just before without any issues, I just don't even want to play anymore. Get good is a stupid response, don't fool yourself ... some skill is necessary (not a lot) but really it is about build and gearing. I think the actual issue is that the item drops are not great on your current level and the mat drops for crafting is not good. You then start to push levels to somehow get better gear and mats and become extremely frustrated because of the map, xp and loot loss. The solution becomes trading your way into the next level. So it seems like a trading game at the moment and I thought I bought an ARPG. Last edited by BlackPlagueZA#4203 on Jan 9, 2025, 3:48:43 AM

" This will never work and they will never do it, you know why? You'd realise quickly for at least some/most of those deaths that there wouldn't be any defences for you to raise or any gear for you to wear that would allow you to survive, which would create more salty posts about balance. |

One death will be ok if they fix a couple of things. First if you die do not remove the map bonus and bosses. Let us retry it as it was by spending another waystone. The second thing is maybe a little off topic but reduce the xp lost a bit. As it is you lose the waystone + the map modifiers + depending on your lv potentially hours XP. There should be consequences of course but this is a bit too much, no?
This is for the waystones. For pinnacle bosses one portal absurd. Especially the first time you start fighting the boss. You need to grind for hours or spend tons of currency just for a single attempt. How is this a fun way to learn complex boss mechanics ? For pinnacle give us at least 3 portals. Don't make it almost mandatory to watch a guide just of the fear of loosing a time and currency. This is not fun at all. |

" +1 Learning about the one-portal system in maps makes me glad that I stopped playing in Act 2, when I reached the Trial of Sekhemas. No thanks, hard pass. |
