How is this a looter ARPG when you NEVER LOOT ANYTHING!?!?!?!?
I think a lot of these issues could be alleviated if they made Disenchanting better, and then by consequence Crafting would be improved and a realistic gap filler when you aren't finding anything useful outright.
Have Disenchant give 1-3 or 1-4 Regal Shards depending on mod number. Make it so Rares have an increasing chance to give Exalt shards (why aren't they a thing?) or even Chaos shards. The chances increasing with number of mods and Item Level. This would firstly make SSF much more fun because all the useless stuff you find would have more value, and secondly somewhat address the flooded market issue by sinking more items. It would mean people would be more likely to Disenchant rather than throwing everything on their trade tab and hoping someone buys them. I'm not suggesting people shouldn't try to sell anything, just that it would encourage players to be a bit more selective about what they try to sell. For SSF it would be a big win. I looted a hat with +30Dex & +30Int yesterday. That might not seem like much to yall, but I was impressed! It's my current 'crafting' project to juice it up some more (and then lose it all with when I Vaal it).

" Have been done by thousands of players, me included, lots of it literally documented on video and available to be watched at any moment. Went up to T15 and never felt the need to trade since game gives you an abandons of tools to beat it without any trading - just use what you get. It's not a game issue, it's a "you" issue, try watching the way other people play. |

" I did on SCSSF........ yesterday Was really excited for all the exalts in maps. Didn't get one yet. At least in low-tier map the drops seem to be even lower than in the campaign. Can't progress to higher tiers eithers (where i hope all the exalts are) 'cause my resists are in the 30th. |

" Last Epoch, 24 hour peak 2,609 people. Lifetime peak 258,503. Seems like not many people want a game like Last Epoch. POE2 has 353,966/578,562 for reference and that are only the steam numbers. |

" Just did. It wasn't easy, mind you. Now I'm dying a lot in maps, but at least I'm getting some good currency. :) However, as someone who has played PoE 1 for years, I think the current loot system is better. In PoE 1 you had tons of loot, most of which was useless garbage. Now we get less loot but less junk, decent blues and yellows are easier to find and, we also get white base item drops for crafting. Crafting is encouraged! Disenchant blues to get Transmute orbs. Use Transmutes on whites, if the first mod looks good, throw an Augment. Disenchant yellows to get Regals. Regal blues with two OK/good mods. In other words, use those basic crafting currencies, there is no point in hoarding them. (If you want to trade, or use the Currency Exchange [which you absolutely should], then hoard Exalt, Chaos, and Divine orbs, but still use them where it makes sense.) In PoE one crafting was way too weak compared to trading. Now crafting is more viable. |

" Twice tradeless campaign here too. Of course I crafted a few. People also totally dismiss somehow that crafting in PoE2 isn't about spamming hundreds of jewelers+fusing to get the max sockets+links, and colors if you have the right affixes (or gamble on a linked base...) ; which makes it much nicer. |
