POE2 Win11 24H2 Crashes - Constant crashing, >100% CPU usage, and more

My laptop was also shutting down. No heat problems.
5900hs - 3080

It was shutting down without BSOD.
It was shutting down not in action, but in passive tree or inventory etc...
After reading some posts, it made sense about cpu thread hikes in this scenario.

It seems like, turning off cpu boost solved the problem, at least for the last 6 hours. I will continue to test and update.

Same issue with a high-end PC.
Same here, everything have been fine until today. Tried to enter Ogham Manor and i can't even login, cause it automatically crashes. It's my 2nd character and wasn't struggling with my main. Quite strange.
Same

Ryzen 7 5700x
RTX 3080

Disabling Engine Multi-thread Processing seems to fix for me but the performance tanks to 30 fps and under..

Can we get a response from GGG on how far they are from a potential fix?

If they can't because it's a MS issue then fine... i'll reinstall windows 11 23H2.

Don't bother. Done that it didn't fix. It's a problem with the in-game engine.
I am on Windows 10, never touched Win11 with the PC I play games on. This is not a Win11 or Win10 issue. The DxDiag about the error implies that the problem occurs due to improper usage of system APIs by the application.

This is the thread about constant crashes and GGG's silence:

I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do:
1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad.
2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review.
3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there.
This situation is becoming increasingly alarming, with numerous reports surfacing about crashes and hardware damage. GGG must address this issue immediately!

I personally experienced a severe crash during Act 2, which caused my PC to reboot due to excessively high CPU temperatures. While my system wasn’t completely bricked, it has undoubtedly sustained some damage. This is no trivial matter; some players are facing even worse issues, such as losing video output after rebooting, which has resulted in significant hardware damage.

GGG must take these reports seriously and act promptly to resolve these critical technical problems before more players are affected.

I experienced crashes while loading, which I determined were caused by unstable CPU and RAM settings. After lowering my RAM clock and returning my CPU to its default clock speeds, I was able to play for 50 hours without any issues.

Based on my experience, I believe that unstable CPU/memory configurations account for 99% of these crashes.

What are you talking about?
A 99% CPU load is a normal operating state and should be the default for any game with uncapped FPS. High CPU utilization indicates good optimization, as it means the game is making full use of all available resources.
