POE2 Win11 24H2 Crashes - Constant crashing, >100% CPU usage, and more
REPORT THE GAME ON STEAM
If you are like me and are exhausted of this issue, you can report the game on the Steam store. GGG doesn't appear to be taking this issue seriously, and they do not deserve your hard earned money without at the VERY LEAST communicating to those of us with these problems. Go to the POE2 store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2694490/Path_of_Exile_2/ Scroll down to where the right hand panel ends, and click the Flag icon to report the game. (Report the Product) Then add additional information and submit. PoE2: A good, giving game

" Done, others with the same issue should follow since GGG is barely doing the bare minimum for this game-breaking issue. |
|
" Same, went to sleep and updated Windows, came back 2 days later to play and crash while loading zones and having to hard reset the entire pc, lmao. And this is happening since launch and nothing is fixed? Damn... |

And no response from them for over 4 days now. I'm a new player and got to level 9 before I said nope and uninstalled. Hard restarting a pc... haven't had to do that for a game since the 90s Yet here we are in 2024 with radio silence and money out of our pocket. Also the rude comments laughing about it from some community members has just made me feel done with it. I would like an actual response from them soon cause I want my money back.

solution that worked for me
In msi afterburner ive turned off all overclocks, except i did bumped core voltage to 50% RTX3080 and updated windows for whatever updates were there. i am on 24H2 Before i was crashing 50% of the time on entering portals, now not seen a crash in 2 days so far. also you can try running game in fullscreen windowed. this reduces perfomance but does not overload pc. ign : GraveyardPrincess

Btw, does anyone else has this issue for PoE1 aswell?
I had it freeze like 10 times now on PoE2 and when i tried to play PoE1 instead i had it happen 3 times aswell now. |

Personally I have not encountered this issue (but I also have a beefy custom loop water cooling system and extensively tested my CPU for stability), but I've noticed that temperature shots up quite high for a game (80+ ish Celsius peak temps) while starting the game or on loading shaders /assets. Probably the people who have crashes and freezes need to check up their system stability with prime95/linpack etc, repaste their CPUs and do other checkups.
