From what we've seen so far, do you feel you're going to stay with PoE1 or move to PoE2?

chill you probably think the same thing.
and I dont see them redo all poe 1 assets to an elevated standard.

anyway. i am gonna play. campaign should be good whatever it is. endgame, i wonder how they re gonna mix combos and relevant game fights with grinding like we have to grind in poe 1. fucking mistery. will it end up with one button farm and keep the need for combos and mecanics to bosses only ? but at the same time, map bosses in poe1 are push overs compared to rares. so really wonder what option are they gonna go for.

Lets not get confused here: seeing a game and playing a game are two VERY different experiences.

A game can "look" one way, but play and feel wayyyy different. The visuals we see are basically ONE person's way of playing the game. You might play differently. You might be "better" or "faster" than the samples we've seen. Advertisement play purposely slows things down as much as possible so you can see every aspect of play.

Personally, I think this whole thread is kind of silly. PoE 2 is YEARS away. Years. PoE 1 was in beta for 2 years before release. Gameplay videos were presented a year before even the alpha began. PoE 2 will likely be in beta at least that long, if not longer (because its newer / bigger than PoE 1 was). Trying to ask folks to make a decision NOW on whether they will stick around or not is just unhelpful and unfair.

Revisit this question after the beta has had a bit of time to rock and roll, and we have a lot more variety of gameplay and 1st hand experience. Even then, the game will evolve over the course of the beta.

+1

i would add a little. a reason why people complain in the forums is because sometimes somethings are not enjoyable to some people.

even after 10 years. poe is not 100% poe yet. it is still evolving.

even tho POE2 EA is slated in a few months time, the end game might be a different beast. also the devs might tweak the game here n there that it would be significantly different in 1-2 years time.

tho as silly as it seems i just feel like most of us here are hyped for poe2

Good luck for farming 4 days an house of mirror card for gambling
Sorry but this is the path of exile endgame content.
POE 2 much better than this.
i will never log on poe1 again when poe2 comes out. the slower tempo of the game along with a focus on increased visual clarity make it the superior game in my opinion.
Endgame in POE2 will be maps again. For anyone wondering what it will be.

Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks
I'd like to play a game that is more casual friendly and doesnt require so much repetition and tedium in the end game to get to the cool stuff.

Hopefully, PoE2 is that. I really love PoE, but I always burn out after I play maps for a few days. I just dont find the grind enjoyable.

No it's not. If you're lucky enough to drop a House of Mirror card in 4 days, you can afford to create a build capable of doing all content. You don't even have to think about gabling. Unless, of course, you want to...

PoE 2 will probably be more casual friendly when it comes to the learning process. But I seriously doubt it will be much different when it comes to grinding.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

So what? You have no idea HOW those maps are going to run. "Endgame in PoE 2 will be maps again" is a meaningless comment at this point.

There are SO MANY different things the endgame can be, while still being "maps".

Even in PoE 1 history, "maps" in the first 4-5 years of the game were WILDLY different than maps are now.
