From what we've seen so far, do you feel you're going to stay with PoE1 or move to PoE2?

Besides visuals, audio and movement I don't see any benefits in playing PoE2.

If I wanted all of that, I could have just installed D4.

So, I'll stick with PoE as long as they support it. If it goes on life support, I'm done with ARPG's, except Christ Wilson and God Breivik decide to team up for a new one.

Yeah perhaps an improved version of It Lurks Below with some rogue lite elements + pixel art Terraria style would be nice.
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks
lol nevermind

At this moment - PoE 1
Map's layout in PoE 2 is a disaster, poor implementation of addit. mechanics, especially Expedition, lame atlas and stupid ,unnecessery principle of 1 portal in Softcore mode.

If I've wanted to play Vindictus in isometric view - I'd play that.

As a former Vindictus player this hit so true. It really is slow rolly Vindictus in isometric but I don't even get the satisfaction of beating enemies with environmental objects and breaking their backs over my knee.

Or the clothing destruction. xD Sadly, it's a lost art.
From what I've seen I'm probably dropping both games XD

just playing this POE1 event as a funeral rite essentially but I dont see myself coming back.

and earlier in this thread I was convinced PoE2 was for me :p

I like coming back to POE 1 occasionally for things like the event but I'm ready to move on to POE 2 as my main game. Just been playing POE1 for over a decade now, POE 2 isn't perfect but I like the direction it's moving and it's just new, new things to discover.
Stay if the game survives that is.
I am not playing anymore of that failed vanity project called poe2.

No one is stopping you to play both. There is no denying I would have loved POE 2 more if it was more in line with 2013 Path of Exile. 2013 POE was slower and not so hard actually (except if you talk about BLAMT races). I would love to have seen a continuation of POE with a second campaign. Sadly for me, GGG wanted to change the recipe. Some elements I dislike:

1) Although you will still be able to play the game with mouse and keyboard, the WASD control scheme is being promoted. The original Path of Exile exclusively launched for pc. The sequel also has to cater to the console platform; hence why we got an emphasis on the WASD control scheme. I think it just looks janky and the game will be completely balanced around the controller.

2) Harder bossfights with more interesting mechanics? Sure. But redoing the entire fight when you die? No thanks.

3) Although currency orbs will not be abandoned, they will be significantly scarcer in POE 2. All gameplay footage highlights that. I think gold will play a far more important role than currency orbs in poe 2. It will be a Ruthless 2.0. I don't think divines or exalts will be used as overall currency but rather alchemy orbs. The power level of items will be significantly lower.

4) Slower flask refillment will hurt quite some players throughout the campaign.

The game being slower I don't mind and I actually kinda like that but the above points make me wonder if I will really like POE 2. I will for sure play it a couple of times since the new Wraeclast locations look amazing and the story might be worthwile.
i decided to stay in poe1 and 2 standard and play both im currently running guilds called holy loot mercs guild poe 1 or poe 2 at the end for each one!

Never played PoE1, never will. I'm looking for something different in my ARPG's.

I always hated PoE1 and D3 because of the pacing and visuals.

I went D2 > LE > D4 > PoE2, and now I'm basically rotating between LE (more casual and free), and PoE2. I don't see this changing in the foreseeable future.

As far as I'm concerned, PoE1 mechanics should have just been cannibalized and integrated into PoE2. PoE1 shut down.

They truly cannibalized the mechanics. They literally made every mechanic worse in there. Sanctum, Deli, Abyss, Beyond, Breach, Ritual, Ultimatum.

I don't even understand how they couldn't improve a single mechanic from a 13 year old game
