They made the rewards more interesting, which isn't the same thing. If anything, it'll cause people to dislike it even more as now they HAVE to do content they dont like for rewards they do like.

That's not fun gaming. Great if you do like doing labs, but otherwise just frustration.
No, They only have to if they choose to - by playing SSF. Other, normal, people will just buy them and run lab 4 times a league.

Wouldnt call it "easily" considering it happened once in entire league.

Every piece of content has its exclusive rewards. Gems are replacement for helm enchants. Nothing changed in that regard. You will just buy the gem instead. It will be even cheaper too because thats all you will need. No alt qualities and no threshhold jewels. You make it much bigger deal than it really is.

Thats self imposed handicap. Also if you play SSF you would have to farm enchant, alt quality gem and maybe threshold jewel. If anything it made things easier.
