its possible. they did update the patch notes and its more confusing than ever with the wording.

but the way i currently understand it is most players will be 30-60% less powerful (certain classes are hurt much more like 2 handed maces or crossbows or qtr staff)

until they can farm up their own omens and a whole bunch of chaos orbs.

just seems like we will be playing another temple league economy for the haves and have nots.

hopefully they clarify or revert the changes.

u understand wrong, overall power will be bigger then in 0.4, but u need time to reach it (voices, new amulet with 2 implict nodes, new dilirium for gems etc).
And HH didnt nerfed lol

just chill guys.

You can still get pretty strong weapon with 4 out of 6 mods being deterministic. Crafting was always too strong and we dont know yet whats to come.

Mark was clear they will be balancing stuff from now on to have old uniques polished, skills balanced to a degree and I suspect crafting as well.

They have to try things out before 1.0 so that all is set for the long term success.

So all this crying that they took something from your that was not yours to begin with is kinda funny.

Ok, i don't know if GGG will read this but i suppose they will.

So, low-tier essences are now just a joke. No one will ever use them.
Alloys (runes) and essences give "guaranteed" mods, so they can't be used together.
Now we should:
1) fracture a good mod
2) chaos spam another one
3) alloy\essence the third
4) desecrate the fourth one.

How can we craft another 2 mods on the item? We're supposed to yolo exalt it and if it's not good we should start from scratch?

Also, white item crafts is now dead since you can't greater aug it and then click a regal essence to make it 3mod item and then complete the craft. So why would anyone use transmutes and augs outside of waystone crafting? What's the point of them to even exist if we have alchemy orbs to put on waystones?

I understand that negative rarity meta and "one-click" deterministic crafts is not good for the economy and player retention. Expedition was completely useless last league and this change was done to support new league mechanic. I understand that. But what i do not understand is why we roll back to the stone age of 0.1 patch...

Ok so if you insist on being an a-hole who think only his way of playing the game should be catered to, here's some numbers from poe ninja.

For characters 80-100:
- standard: 124080
- ssf: 8598
- hc: 3731
- hc ssf: 1477

Of course poeninja doesn't provide complete data but i would expect more people have their characters tracked on a trade league simply because SSF players have a more "single player" mindset.

So, from this data, ssf is ~7% of the softcore playerbase, and 40% of the HC playerbase. So yes, the number IS significant enough to be called "a lot".

And unless you give me a proof that "no one in clear mind plays SSF" this is the best data we have available and it shows that SSF players is a significant portion of the playerbase.

And mind you this doesn't include people who play trade but only rarely or never trade, and it doesn't include new players and tourists who just play the "default" mode not because it's their preference, but because it is the default.

its referencing entering maps. i know top players can create any mirror item with omens.

prior to this everyone could just create their own weapon with 3 essences and a fracturing orb.

now players will have to get the omens that are extremely rare and use thousands of chaos orbs. so their inflation will be extremely high

Even by what the ninja displays https://poe.ninja/poe2/builds, the ratio between FotV-SSF and FotV-Standard is 11.87%:100%, so to say for every 9 standard player, there is a ssf player. It is far far more than 2%.

And on top of that, if you do play the game, you should realise that essence crafting is a way to close the gap between rich player and poor player at the start of the league / early endgame. This crafting nerf DOES NOT BENIFIT STANDARD PLAYERS, IT HURTS EVERYONE WHO IS NOT FARMING 24/7.

we are yet to see how rare omens will be. New ritual is only omens and unique items so things are changing in that regard. For the better or the worst to be seen..
hey GGG what happened? You didnt nerfed TWISTERS and I am sure you will do it, can you do it today please so people don't waste time learning a build that will be delete from the game before 0.5?
