plus omens still exist which allows for crafting literally any item possible.

all this change does is say there will be 2 types of players. the ones who could afford omens day 1, and everyone else.

I wish they really explain how the things will work now. Maybe runecrafting is the culprit that will made crafting easier so they made a change to make it not feel not insanely easy? man... I dunno

Then they should tease what the rune crafting can do instead of secretly dropping a huge nerf to essence. And whats worse is that based on the current tease, rune crafting is just a different way of chaos spamming. Say the time modifier thing on boots where they showcased in the live stream. By spending a socket and a ton of chaos, you might have a chance to hit sth useful on your boots. I dont see how this would be useful by any means as a compensation to SSF or to early endgames in general.

At least one essence will work, plus one desecration, the essences will just not be as strong as before, another issue here is that a lot of essences drop and there was nowhere to put them, and now they will need several times less, perhaps there will be some kind of mechanic where essences interact with runes and give something
If thats the case essences are basically dead, except perfect ones. Because if item fails and we use annul - only perfect can be applied to rare item.

Essences in that way should be redesigned to POE 1 so we could spam them.

Unless 1 crafted mode per type but I doubt it.

Regardless this is a huge nerf. And like typical GGG - put this big nerf after all the media =) divines are now more common, inflation will be huge. Unless divines will be switched with annulment, perfect exalts, perfect chaos in market.

Don't play? SSF players should not be a priority for developers, because those who play this mode choose the path of pain and suffering themselves. They also do not bring money, as the player does in the normal mode, buying tabs for trading and storing consumables/fragments, etc.

You're being ridiculous. You think SSF players don't buy tabs? SSF players buy A TON of tabs to store every little piece of crap that "may be useful later" as we can't just sell items we don't immediately need and can't buy them when we do. An average SSF player buys a lot more tabs than a trade player.

And we didn't choose "the path of pain and suffering", we chose a path of "playing the game instead of playing the market". Of course it's supposed to be harder by design but GGG shouldn't treat it as if it doesn't exist.

Either they release a video / post tomorrow morning explaining whats actually going on or they host a small talk / live stream, otherwise I just dont buy it. It's just so bad that they put sth of this importance in the patch notes secretly without a clear explaination. To me this is sth that should be treated at the same level of importance if not more than the leech change (it really is a base mechanic level rework of crafting/essence as introducing the crafted tag and putting limitations on it)

"the way i play is the only way to play" - i get it you like playing stock market simulator but you don't need to be this toxic about it. There's a lot of people playing SSF and there are even more who would if it was just a little bit easier, like better crafting and target farming.

its possible. they did update the patch notes and its more confusing than ever with the wording.

but the way i currently understand it is most players will be 30-60% less powerful (certain classes are hurt much more like 2 handed maces or crossbows or qtr staff)

until they can farm up their own omens and a whole bunch of chaos orbs.

just seems like we will be playing another temple league economy for the haves and have nots.

hopefully they clarify or revert the changes.
