Random transfigured build

Patch notes suggest the pool of existing transfigured gems is mostly unchanged. I am surprised. I expected one for Fireball, at the least.

It seems the same for me. I thought about transfigured aura gems, since they're easier to implement (e.g. discipline grants only flat armour or only more armour), than damaging skill gems.

Also wanted to share my speculations and suggestions:

1. I thought about choosing skill gem from the lab, instead of rolling d3 (you still have one attempt in the divine font, but can select something that fits your character the best). What do you think about this idea?

2. About the new league: it seems like we will be able to invade breach hives and fight breachlords themselves. I wonder if there's something behind these fights (or, perhaps, someone). There's also a new mechanic: Grafts. I.was very surprised when I saw 100-150k base damage, but with this damage uptime they can hardly be used as a main damage skill. Would like to see some clever uses of these Grafts. And what's your opinion about this league?

About the endgame changes:
- Seems like Mercenaries went back to Trarthus. I guess they will return later and we will once again run together with them. I will never forget trappers and their unknown language.
- Bloodlines are interesting. I will surely use them as soon as I find something.
- I'm still not sure how do we get breach uniques. Breachlords are presented in the Breach Hives, but I doubt chaula will join them. Keepers also have a tree that drop items. Maybe we can get Breach uniques from it?

I think it's a big part of the challenge to have the gem chosen randomly too. I'll be rolling d3.

The grafts do look pretty cool! Kind of reminds me of the gloves lab enchants we used to get. I don't quite know my opinion of the league yet. Initially I wasn't very hyped for it, but maybe I was just angry that day and I'll be more excited about it later. This challenge is probably the reason I will play it. With great self-control I haven't rolled for my character class and gem yet and I am so looking forward to that.

I interpreted the weird speech of the trappers not to be a different language, but because their tongues had been cut out.

I love the idea of Bloodlines too! I was hoping we wouldn't have to split our ascendancy points with them. But it's a cool option to have!

I think you're right and the tree will be a source of the breach uniques. I'm trying to decide if I want to use my Blessings on standard to transform breach uniques before the Blessings can only be used for breachstones after the patch.

That's reasonable. I'm going to roll d3 as well. Now I think: there must be something in having to deal with the outcome you cannot change. I also thought about randomly choosing gem color, but this is a terrible idea in general (e.g. flamwblast with duelist or ranger. Useful notables are far away and reaching them will spend too much useful passive skill points).

Same was with me, when I saw "Secrets of the atlas". Despite ggg did a great work designing all of this, I felt there was too little content for the "expansion". However, this new storyline was worth playing even without this challenge.
After watching the content reveal I think this story for "Keepers of the flame" have much more mysteries, than was revealed by ggg.

Same with me. I want to experiment with leveling strategy, as I did in my first playthrough. I also liked this idea with using transfigured gem right after getting it.

I think we should stay in this thread. No need to create duplicates for every league.


By the way, i forgot to mention this: I will study tomorrow, so I will create my character as soon as the league starts (like i did in 3.26) and start playing a bit later.

I think I'll go with green. I want this one to be different from the flameblaster.

My character is Sericornis_virgatus, which is the scientific name for a bird whose common name is the Perplexing Scrubwren. I thought it fitting for a randomly chosen character.

I've been leveling (in act 2 right now) with spectral throw - prismatic burst and dual terrible 1h thrusting swords, and I've taken the lower path below scion start through the resists over to the duelist area and art of the gladiator while picking up some attack leech. I plan to pick up the disciple frenzy and endurance charge nodes. And then we'll see what the labyrinth decides.

I have an Esh graft that shoots an area around me with lightning and leaves a ground effect that makes my hits lucky. I use it all the time. Hopefully I can grow a higher level similar damage support soon.

And maybe I'll get better links soon for Spectral Throw. faster attacks - vicious projectiles would be nice, and I'll research more about it when I get closer to lab.

How's yours coming along?

edit: rolled for gem position, it will be the one on the right. About to do lab now.
