Random transfigured build

Quest Eater of Worlds:
https://youtu.be/mKzmANrR3S4

Made sure I had a quicksilver flask for this. I'm pleased with how it went.

PoB is the same as for Exarch.

Hurray!

That'd be victory except there's these new Zana memory bosses now.

I was surprised that both Exarch and Eater were easier than Neglect. Not just due to my having more experience fighting the two stones. Neglect's numbers were bigger I think.

We'll see how Fear goes.

Really, um, dreading, Incarnation of Dread. I still haven't gotten my chaos res up. So I'll need to take care of that before that fight.

Spoiler
Had a lot of surprise help on this one from the last map's memory altar option that gave shrines, plus the shrine nodes on my atlas tree. 2+ minutes of skeleton shrine? Thanks! A minion cloud is very often a nice thing to have!

This is the Valdo's map that dropped:

Quest Incarnation of Fear:

No change to PoB from Exarch and Eater.

Just 1 pinnacle to go! Now to find the tear and do a final gear check to get that chaos res up.

Good job with all of theese bosses. I'm not sure if you used abberath against Incarnation of Fear. It helped me alot when I was using shattering steel of ammunition. I could just stand point blank and hit him with 200%+ more damage. Speaking of SSoA, I feel like that character was much worse, than your Hierophant flameblast. I guess that should be a good reason for me to improve.

By the way, i was just looking at Eater & Exarch fights when new videos appeared. What a coincidence!

Thanks! Do you mean the upgraded pantheon power that lets you ignore burning ground? I would've loved that. I still haven't gotten a single divine vessel drop.

Major kudos on doing Incarnation of Fear with the SSoA too! I watched your eater and exarch videos again and it's a cool build! That leap slam speed is beautiful. The character styles are really different, I don't think it's that simple to compare them. I felt I definitely had an advantage by being ranged (I could shoot at Eater when he was doing his bubble slams for example (unless he's immune during those anyway? but I didn't think so)). Everything is practice, so we'll both improve.

edit: how'd you get the weapon for yours? was it tough?

Unfortunately, I was tricked by the trade (I was lazy enough to craft it properly), so I bought one from the trade. I guess you would use essences of contempt unless you hit decent dps (fractured base with increased phys. damage or increased attack speed can make this much easier).

The other option is unique weapon:
Varunastra should be insane with gladiator ascendancy. It might even be possible to use AoE explosions from call of steel in bossfight as I initially planned;
I've also seen Replica Wings of Entropy in poe.ninja. As I remember, it makes dual wield passives more useful.
Victory!

Theatre of Lies and Quest Deceitful God:

Spoiler
Messy run, got surrounded and nearly died on the way to the arena (but didn't!). I really wish I hadn't gotten hit by the flame waves. I'll have to practice this fight more I guess. I don't understand yet where the clear areas will be.

Quest Incarnation of Dread:
https://youtu.be/91K9wyX2IOM

Spoiler
Had a clutch early block on a boss slam, nice. These incarnations sure do have a lot of hitpoints. This fight still seems kind of buggy. I don't know quite how I died. The boss has surprisingly bad aim most of the time. The minion type of the hat that dropped was spiders.

Final PoB:
https://pobb.in/FHr4NrkEX8B-

Gems
Spoiler

Main Skill:
Flameblast of Celerity - Arcane Surge - Infused Channelling - Elemental Focus - Fire Penetration
(sixth link would be Immolate)

Keep this up on bosses so that the target is ignited to gain 100% increased damage from the fire mastery:
Arcanist Brand - Flammability - Wave of Conviction - Combustion

Arrogance - Arctic Armour - Clarity - Vitality
Activates low life for pain attunement and protects from freeze (a grand total of zero divine vessels dropped in this playthrough, so Brine King couldn't handle it)

Eternal Blessing - Anger
Leaves all mana unreserved for MoM and big inc AoE from Sanctuary of Thought ascendancy

Flame Dash - Culling Strike

Automation - Steelskin

Sigil of Power and Frost Shield
Theoretically increase tankiness, but I usually could not stay still for that long.

Cold Snap
for frenzy charges for clear when I remembered to do it, mostly in Harvest plots.

Stone Golem
weighted companion cube

SSF Gear:
Spoiler

Wands with +1 fire and spell damage. Added fire helps and so would cast speed and some spell crit to trigger Elemental Overload. I feel very fortunate to have found ones this nice.

Life and resists. I would have liked to roll Exarch fire pen here.

It has 5 links. It's doing its best.

Life and resists. I really, REALLY would've liked Exarch Unnerve on hit here.

Move speed, life, and resists.

Some strength was needed somewhere.

Strength and dex and life and resists.

Life and resists.

I'm always on low life so these flasks are always instant. I'm freeze immune from Arctic Armour and shock immune from the charge mastery. So the flasks have to handle ignite, corrupting blood, and poison. The sulphur flask helps with damage. The quartz flask would have 'used when charges reach full' and a reduced curse effect suffix.

This flask was handy for Searing Exarch and Incarnation of Fear. Were I to continue to develop the character, I'd want the es drain suffix somewhere all the time. It'd save me some skill points.

So that's that. I'm glad I stuck with my decision to be self-cast and fire-based for science. I can absolutely see why everyone else is using totems and why big mana ignores the base damage of the spell in favor of scaling lightning. I made it through, but I'm not going to play this build further. Thanks for hosting the challenge and see you in 3.27.

Congratulations with the victory. I hope you luked this challenge. I think the most beautiful part is that sometimes you can return to thinking about possible improvements for the characteryou'vemade for this challenge. It actually happend to me and my SSoA duelist. From time to time I find myself researching other SSoA builds or their compnents. And most importantly, I cannot abandon that meme idea with Pennance Mark (for example, I'm thinking about Hierophant SSoA with this Mark and HUGE AoE. I'm not sure about damage, but i won't expect much). I think getting these thoughts is the best thing happend to me in Path of Exile.

Recording guardian fights (mini-bosses right before pinnacle bosses) is a good idea. Some of them have decent quotes and voice acting. I'll publish such videos next time I do this challenge (in 3.27).

By the way, thanks for participating this early. I thought people would join in 3.27 when there's new content to explore (and working trade in non-ssf leagues). I worry about the next update: there is almost a month left and ggg are still silent. I hope there aren't any problems and we will see new update soon.
Thank you!

Yeah, it was fun to make up something weirder instead of just finding the best (most efficient) build to play. This challenge reminds me of all the tournaments we used to do on the d2 single player forum back in the day, which I loved. That's probably why I was so quick to jumpstart this.

GL in 3.27!

It's getting hard to wait. I'm already thinking a lot about my next character in this challenge, way more than I thought I would. I hope we hear about 3.27 soon!

I also thinking about new character when I have free time. It's not very often for me, so I don't think it's something abnormal.

Luckily, new league is announced: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3865111. Waiting 23 more days shouldn't be very difficult.

I guess i need to keep a close eye on patchnotes and announcements. I'm afraid some non-damaging skills might get their transfigured versions and they won't be suitable for this challenge.
