Random transfigured build

Infinite "Hunger!" is defeated. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/NZcFVo4dGp0. That was my first try with this build and i managed to hit a deathless run somehow.

In my opinion, his "Hunger!" ability is just unfair. Unlike "The fires of a thousand suns" from Exarch or "Inescapable doom" from Eater, there's no gimmick: boss just becomes invulnerable and can follow you until the heat death of the universe. However, he wants to jump out of the ground to deal huge damage. That's why i strategically run into him to then flame dash into his back. If i had been a bit more patient, I wouldn't have taken this much damage from one of his "Hunger!"

Since fire trap can scale damage quite easily, I'll try to get more style points and make a bit more deathless runs. This is not necessary or recommended, since it may require an insane defence, or an insane skill.

Grats on the victory! Am I right in assuming that righteous fire automatically toggles off when you get sucked into the chyme area? Very nice QoL if so. I expected the dot in there to be a huge problem.

I agree, the part where he chases you around under the ground while invulnerable for as long as he wants is obnoxious. I don't think he can be (safely?) baited into jumping out early, and I've gotten impatient and tried lots of times too. Maybe I should watch what people do on hardcore, and see if they just wait out that attack or have a trick.

I've noticed that in this patch, indicator icons (for things like area entrances and quest items) seem to appear on the minimap from further away. It looks like the portal in the chyme was easier to see sooner, too, and I am very happy about that.

The Black Star fight with a single portal: https://youtu.be/W4EHixJs9oA.

This fight is much better, since boss is damagable all the time. I haven't even noticed i defeated it in just one minute. The only problem with this boss seems to be the "Astral avalanche", since i forgot to get a sapphire flask for the fight.

As for the build, link is here: https://pobb.in/cSzCRixv1JHj.

I have a bit more chaos resistances because of new items i have. I still have no currency for crafting and i continue buying cheap gear from the trade market. I think, amulet and gloves are the last non-unique items i've got like this. My boots came from the genesis tree. Completing breaches is still hard for this build but it's worth it.

I removed eldrich battery so i could use inspiration support for more elemental damage, crit and mana cost reduction. Grace is now replaced with flesh and stone for even more physical damage reduction. Despite having about ~1700 life, I can take nearly 7.5k physical damage in one hit. Turns out getting much defences as a ranger is not that easy as i thought. I also prepared some fire traps for corruptions. If i hit lvl21 gem, this will be another damage boost for me.

No, that's my life flask with "Removes all burnings when used". I pressed it as soon as i enter chyme area, since i just run through it as fast as i can.
New day and a new victory: https://youtu.be/SgsV9YEhHYA.

I would call it Infinite "Hunger!" 2, since he wants to use this slam several times in a row. Not sure if i can find the exact numbers, but i won't even try to survive this with the current setup. Probably i'll just get more flask and continue afterwards. Speaking of flasks: I've got the first Eagon Questline because of t16 kirac mission and Eagon spawned. The Neglected flame wihout additional modifiers was simple enough (only the meteor is dangerous, everything else is fine). Then i tried the Incarnation of Neglect and died almost instantly from one of his attacks (i guess that was a projectile thing). For the memory bosses i think i'll put mini-boss and related boss fights in one video instead of splitting them. It will be something like "The Neglected Flame and Incarnation of Neglect".

Current pob: https://pobb.in/n0ZADJiuq2Q6.

As i've got some money from the trade league, i've bought two The Taming from the store. My very next step is to get Archdemon crown (+2 level of socketed skill gems) with shaper influence and craft it with essence of Horror (30% more damage for socketed gems) to get another good mod: +2% crit chance, trap and mine damage support or hypotermia support. Supposingly, new 4-link will be Fire trap - Swift assembly - Charged mines - Inspiration. As i can see, even a clear archdemon crown gives a noticable boost. Not sure if there's a way to get shaper influence on it without shaper exalted orb, so i'll try to get a shaper kill before crafting.

P.s.: forgot to mention the second graft i've got:

This one deals about 100k damage with projectile, but have a huge cooldown, which makes it unusable for bossfights. Only benefit is additional molten shell that can absorb 4k damage.

Exarch is also defeated: https://youtu.be/_LWhR1aZyXM

I'm still very far from perfection. If i get unlucky i can get overwhelmed by these meatballs and die. Luckily, i have enough damage, so there's just one ball phase.
Everything in my build is the same except for, possibly a couple of passive points i used for crit chance & crit multi.

Path of Building says that i can survive two meatballs without guard skills. I'll survive two more with default molten shell. Moreover, i can regenerate nearly 1k life per second.
Congratulations on your victories!

I was impressed at how many of the balls you could tank. And the damage is Really good.

Right! Thanks for reminding me of this.

Your sword should be awesome for early maps. I'm not sure if you need to use punishment instead of other curse. I guess an elemental weakness might be a good replacement.

Very true about the sword. It served me well through to tier 12 maps. Now I have a new sword, which is also pretty sweet:

It's my opinion that Punishment is the best curse in the game. It helps with defense and with clear and with bosses. I'd love to run Ele Weakness as my second curse, though. And I should probably be manually cursing on bosses instead of triggering with Battlemage's Cry, so that for the first half of their healthbar I can have Ele Weakness and switch to Punishment for the second half.

This was a really exciting upgrade. I have the 'melee hits fortify' mastery on the tree, and so now as soon as I hit anything I have onslaught.

I'm going to try to pick evasion/armour gear to take the most advantage of this belt. Right now I have actual Unwavering Stance allocated because I noticed that with Brine King my warcries were getting interrupted too often. But perhaps later with good gear and more life I can unspec that and have lots of evade. It's an option, anyway. I'm really liking Soul of Lunaris for hive content.

Here's my favorite graft. The higher level skill gave 4 pyres! I sort of hope the highest level gives 5.

I'm also using this one, for shocked ground:

I'm trying to grow a higher level one.

Both Quest Infinite Hunger and Quest Black Star are down!

Infinite Hunger:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZ4C-Vpf_1Y

Spoiler
Don't stand in the boss slam, it's a full circle. Standing sort of behind him is not safe. Arctic Armour chilled ground slowed down his tracking tentacle mass hunger phase, which was cute. I put on the Ralakesh pantheon for 'reduced physical damage over time taken while moving' in the chyme section. Wiki says the dot in there is physical and chaos, so maybe it helped.

Black Star:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZuJj1ADwSA

Spoiler
I'm just gonna leave this here for myself in hopes of remembering the details better. The colored arena zones rotate counter-clockwise. Stand behind pillars in blue to hide from Astral Avalanche, stand behind pillars in red to hide from Solar Storm; the wrong color pillars will break from the attack. I got confused here about which color zone I was standing in, and I also wasted too much damage on the clones. Live (er, die to Astral Avalanche) and learn.

Current goals are to upgrade gear. I'd like an even better sword of course, triple tier 2 flat ele damage would be amazing. I plan to recombinate a triple tier 3 flat ele damage sword, so I am on the lookout for a bazillion ilvl82+ Reaver Swords. I just sent a shipment of Crimson Iron and Orihalcum to Ngakanu hoping to get high level str weapons and armour. Hopefully I'll get some swords in the str weapon category. I'm hoping for a nice ilvl86 Conquest Lamellar. Or a 6-link anything.

Links are:
Lacerate of Butchering - Elemental Damage with Attacks - Trinity - Faster Attacks - Overexertion

The 6th link will probably be Inspiration, and I'll test out General's Cry.

I'm leveling a bunch of Lacerate gems to hopefully transform into extra Lacerates of Butchering. LoB scales really, really well with gem levels, which is unusual for a melee skill, so I will absolutely want 21/20. For the same reason, I have my sights set on the Admiral's Arrogance gloves, which can have +3 to level of all melee skill gems. Sadly, unlike regular Lacerate, LoB doesn't have the physical tag, so an amulet to boost it needs the rarer +1 all skills mod.

I'm pretty likely to anoint Deep Breaths to save all those pathing points once I get a good amulet.

First I'd like to thank Ngakanu. Wow.

Now I have the life mastery for 15% more life if no life mods on chest armour. I also have Precise Technique.

Huge congratulations on your victories as well! This new sword is really good. As i remember from venom gyre in 3.25, i got my claw with t2,t2,t3 elemental damages from recombinators. The process was following:

Spoiler

1. Get as many essences of wrath, anger and hatred (they grant flat elemental damage, you want shrieking ones, since they give you normal t2 mod) and as many bases as you can find (ilvl 74+, i guess)

2. Start recombining them until you get all t2 damage modifiers or run out of bases. My process was to get a bunch of "double flat damage" bases and recombine them into the final item.

3. Pray to get some good suffixes as you finish prefixes

I guess it'll work with swords as well. Maybe there's much better technique with this new genesis tree, but i haven't discovered it yet.
thanks for reminding me of that interaction, you're a lifesaver!
