Why was Hexblast destroyed???

"

I've never played hexblast mines; I think I hated the character before level 60 or something, but it is completely asinine that they nerfed it in a way that removed the ability to play the archetype altogether, rather than nerfing its power. Why would they arbitrarily delete an existing build entirely, rather than (potentially vastly) depowering it? Changing the meta is all well and good, but randomly pinning the tail on the donkey and deleting a build entirely from even functioning is very rare, and usually accompanied by a raft of lateral changes and an explanation for the reasoning why.

Finally someone who understands the issue! Thank you! I honestly thought that Noone can comprehend the difference between nerfing and removing.

You might be right that the game will never be balanced around normal players, but make no mistake; spending 200div on your average build is far from normal.

I know its not what "average" player do. But not because its something hard unachievable for them. Its because "average" player doesnt put any effort into this game. They just randomly do some maps, sell some high value item from time to time when they randomly get one and ignore ALL THE CURRENCY they gather during those maps, not knowing they are sitting on the "pile of gold".
Then after a week they are done with the game and their 10-20 div build because they see no reason to play futher (because even if they would gain more currency, they wouldnt spend it on upgrading their build)
Game should never be balanced around players like that. No matter how much they cry and how much tantrum they throw on reddit/forum when their zero effort builds was nerfed

That's what they did, its depowered.

Want to spam it on mines? There is a trans gem to spam

Know why nobody wants to do that? Because it doesn't have triple the damage it should when played with mines.

I'm sorry but this whole thread is frustrating it was a predictable nerf done for predictable reason, players that are angry its "destroyed" need to be honest with themselves that the reason they liked it is it was a drastic numerical overperformer compared to other mines

GGG should have hotfixed this in the first week after doom got removed it was clearly a mistake when they set the numbers to allow it on mines. I can believe they didn't have another mechanism to limit it aside from a cooldown but i don't really believe that.

I'm sorry guys but your gonna have to move onto the next outlier instead.

If "players like that" don't enjoy the game, they don't pay GGG money. You're talking about something akin to 95% of the playerbase, at a minimum, falling at this level of progression in a season or lower.

But you're right; they should definitely ensure the vast majority of paying users have less fun playing the game because "they're lazy".

I didn't actually see that the transfigured version has no cooldown, that's ok then. It sucks that people can't leaguestart it but I rescind my previous post; the build isn't dead, it just sucks. That's not the same thing.
sad :(

Yeah Im sure those kind of players spend so much money on the game they play for a week every 4 months.
Weird how everyone who complains about those nerfs have zero supporters packs bought (most of the time)

In the POBs I listed from 3.25 and 3.24, I did 3.8BILLION DPS this league and 8BILLION DPS the previous league. If they nerf me appropriately, they make it useless for the rest of you casuals anyway.

Yes, you are something special, thank you for the meaningful contribution, I don't care how much damage you did, it's about them being able to nerf the gem, not destroy it completely, that's all I care about.

Every patch brings in new builds while "deleting" old ones due to changes of skills directly, item changes or class changes, and this patch honestly is not any different.

This one specific build is now gone, but honestly someone will prob still make use of the ability in a different way in a new build.
Is it going to perform the exact same? Prob not, but welcome to a game that resolves around constant changes lol.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
