Kingsmarch Going Core Thoughts

now that it seems to be going core, i quite like it, but also dislike it a little bit because it feels like a mobile game mechanic with fomo to play to keep it running, maybe they made some adjustments to that

Yeah, just saw that icon in the video. I assume unless it's a troll it's pretty much set in stone. I loved it as a league, but don't want it to be core honestly.

I'm going to cope and believe that Kingsmarch will just be a placeholder for expedition NPCs and Faustus. No way we're rebuilding Kingsmarch every league.

Yeah, funny how one little icon in one little frame can sucker punch the hype right out of me :(

The whole thing could be core in a very different form. Town could be already built completely and pieces of it eliminated altogether. Gold sink higher, lower rewards, etc.

My hope is that they keep it, but find a way to balance it inline with other mechanics.

Holy shit. I seriously hope this is a troll. If its not highly tuned to be different its going to be awful for me. It was fun the first 2 times then it became a chore then flat out annoying to manage and finally just stopped doing it despite losing tons of value.

It could also be that the test/showcase server runs on 3.25 with all the additional new stuff.
And settlers either actually goes core with 3.26 or future leagues, or simply gets fully disabled forever.

GGG teaser/trailers are usually very deliberate when it comes to things like this. Really doubt it is a "miss" of sorts. Only 14 hours until we know for sure, though.
