Kingsmarch Going Core Thoughts
Ships were worst part of entire Settlers. Constant "I need to log in in 10 min to re-send my ships otherwise Im losing" etc. Such mechanics are ones that make players stop playing the game. Back in the ancient times we used to have daily quests for masters and people hated it becuase they felt forced to do them every day. Removing them was one of biggest W for GGG.

I want Path of Farmville to be a thing.
Farmers farm. I send ships. I get loot, and on occasion something nice. Insta buy or sell currency is really nice, too, if you know not to believe the crazy market rate AI. I poop, therefore I am.

I would be surprised if it went core. I loved it as a league, but it's not something I want to build up all the time.

" WTF are you talking about? you could only send 1 ship in an entire week, it needs 50millions resources |

I'd be fine if it went core and they removed all combats associated with the ores. The ores should just be nodes you click and mine with zero fighting going forward.
One issue the devs need to pay attention to is things like these ores blocking strongboxes from spawning on smaller maps. A lot of strongbox strategies focus on removing as much content as possible because you will actually get fewer strongboxes. IMO this needs to be solved so that it's not an issue at all. " You sweet summer child. Sending 50 milion ships was pretty much biggest waste you could make. |

" Mappers need constant attention, draws you out from other stuff. It was a fun league but Kingsmarch as a mechanic is stale and tiresome now. Just remove it and have parts of it in new content with new themes. The whole Path of Farmville is dull without it having some sort of PvP element (raiding other players' settlements / trading resources in a Settlers of Catan way). Maybe if you could expend chaos orbs and divine orbs for interesting perks in immersive Town-building I don't really want it longterm. |

" I tend to agree with your take the most Phrazz. I think there are elements of this mechanic that could be stripped or automated entirely. There is a cost to running the mechanic and that is that it takes a lot of gold. That's an active thing to be able to acquire to invest and doing so should take away from other investment costs. If the line between rewards and cost were adjusted it would make it go from a mechanic that people feel they have to do, to one that has a choice due to higher gold costs or lower rewards, or maybe both ... then it just hops into the game as another possible specialization. The more I think about it, the less I think they really need to do other than adjust some costs, rewards, and add some nodes to the atlas tree. The ore could become a 1 in 10 that investment or scarabs make the odds increase and the rest is already good to go as it is in town. As with other leagues that rotated out of the primary, there should be some nerfs. Mirror shards should probably never be a thing possible to get moving forward. They'd have to neuter the mechanic a little so that the new mechanic is the primary thing everyone wants to do. Maybe even take out Kingsmarch for 3.26 & bring back in 3.27 once they can tinker with the numbers & rewards some. |

Kingsmarch going core and it will get the usual treatment they do with all leagues that go core anyway..
Ultra nerfed, bad balanced drops wise and most likely dead on arrival after the changes. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure." Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. Last edited by Xystre#4581 on Jun 4, 2025, 4:02:36 PM

Other than getting my challenges, I rarely set foot in that place. Not a fan of Sim City Light.
I hope it does not go core or, if it does, there are no challenges that drag me down there. I am not Anti-Social, I am just selective on whom I wish to be social with.
