Steam is going balistic
You know we're into dark territory when people are calling their opinions "objective fact"

"This goes both ways. "Sheeple PoE2 glazing because the streamers told them what to think and what to say." You know, it's kinda interesting that most ppl I have seen, who glaze PoE2 0.2, bring up the same argument: "negative ppl are sheep controlled by streamers/content creators" [Removed by Support]

" What streamer encourages people to be overly positive about POE2? Even talkative tri is giving a mix of criticism and positivity, and that guy is the ultimate glazer |

" It's always been like this. How many times have you been called a sheep who follows mainstream media, for example? It's a lazy way to win an argument that everyone uses Last edited by Johny_Snow#4778 on Apr 23, 2025, 6:00:15 AM

" "Given the consistent growth in active streamers and the long lifespan of the platform, it's reasonable to estimate that the total number of unique individuals who have ever published game content on Twitch likely exceeds tens of millions." -from LLM cursorily. |

Steam reviews provide valuable data of trends.
The trend for PoE2 seems to be catastrophic right now. |

" You can't be serious. When people say streamers they mean the most popular ones - with hundreds and thousands of views. Assuming they exclusively stream PoE content, the possibility of them being good at the game is extremely high. After all why watch someone who sucks? This is the case with every competitive game, plenty of the top streamers are actually good and part of the 1% |

"Sure, not now. But that's not the argument. This nonsensical: "It's mostly negative feedback right now because streamer herd the sheep" is baseless, period. If you claim: "No. It's true.", then you face the vice versa problem that even positive feedback received earlier is invalid because ppl just follow content creators' opinions without thinking. I think it's bad streamers are using their platforms to try and change poe2 into what they want the game to be.
They are giving their audiences skewed expectations, and in turn, players are getting outraged. They're essentially the leaders of a hate mob. |

" So you dont think there is any element, whatsoever, of a culture that is derivative of streamer opinions. There is not even a noteworthy number of people who are essentially doing the bidding of their favorite streamers? People love to latch on to leaders and form their opinions like this. It's human nature. |
