Content Update 0.2.0 -- Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt
" I approve nerfs i was one of the biggest advocate for nerfs and reducing clearing speed i was even ready for like 70% nerf but they actually didn't nerf but removed DD for me. Skill alone 70% nerf, removed meat shield 50% more dmg plus removed skeletal warriors. So tell me how is this nerf? This is removing from the game hahah More stronger and less white pollution screen mobs = heathier game experience.

Streamers have tons of videos to make now. Think about it. It is not about fun. What made this fun is all but erased from the game now.

When something is too strong, the response should not be to make it unplayably bad.
On archmage: Yes, archmage was too strong when combined with mana scaling, and certain builds. A reasonable response to that would have been any one of the 5+ overlapping nerfs. taking spark to half the projectiles, way over twice the cost, with less flat and %mana on gear and the tree, with less dmg scaling from archmage, is over a 90% nerf, or 1000% depending on how you look at it. These things are multiplicative. (appart from proj change, all those would apply to any skill not just spark). i have tried my gear (currently top 10 spark, or nr1 spark-noncrit-temporalis) with say.. arc, current patch, and the clear is not even that great. Struggles to clear breaches before they despawn, just as an example. Seems to me the only issue with archmage was specifically with spark. On temporalis: making the relic 10x as rare, removing the ability to cheese the walls, removing the ability to prevent honor dmg with chayula, or any other way is a ridiculous overcompensation to your own damn mistake for letting it get duped. Seems like someone took the duping personally, and is lashing out. It was never easy to get legitimately. A run takes 20 minutes without wall bugs. You can currently easily do over 500 runs and not get a relic. Thats over 150 hours of focused grind and no relic. Now thats going to be over 1500. Oh and now its not even worth using. Lol. "chase item" indeed. Why chase poo for 1500 hours. Point of fact: the attraction of temporalis was either autobomber (a bugged build that should be fixed, and is gone in 0.2), or people who just want a faster playstyle. It was never a strong item in terms of flat damage or defense. The popularity of it is tied to your insistence that poe2 be a walking simulator. Some of us will view that design choice as a deal-breaker. Travel skills being spammable has been a staple of the genre since day 1. you have no clue what you are doing. So.
When you are going to actually fix armor and melee? I mean, great that you fixed rolling slams insane animation a bit. Great you fixed the mana cost (hopefully). But when are you going to fix the ONE THING melee needs -namely armor? Or will we continue to se ES warriors for another four months? Sad stuff. Also at this rate it should be called "path of nerfing" tbh. I bet you we will have another 2-3 builds zoom zoom zooming again, and everything else is so nerfed people don't play it. What is the point? Last edited by eldheim#2436 on Apr 3, 2025, 2:45:59 AM

Awesome patch as always GGG! Looking forward to play it on friday and in the future.
Slow progression and meaningful combat makes the overall experience actually satisfying. Ignore haters and naysayers, they can't accept that the game is just not for them. Players like me have been waiting years for real D2 spiritual successor, the industry went totally into cookie-clicker zoom-fest direction, when all hope was lost you came - and it is looking better than ever. Thank You GGG and stick to your vision. |
