Content Update 0.2.0 -- Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt
You read and realize that the developers are not playing their game. You see problems, but you can't spend 10 minutes to understand their causes and fix the causes. You see a skill that no one uses because of the inadequately high mana consumption and increase its damage. But even if you increase the damage by 10 times, the mana consumption will still not allow you to use it.
Instead of balancing the builds somehow, you just destroy some of them. And don't justify it by reducing the damage overall. Some builds simply cease to exist after this patch. YOU're aiming for a diverse and more balanced gameplay. But so far I see 2-3 working builds and the complete disappearance of some existing ones, as well as subclasses using these builds. The mechanics of charms are stillborn, there is no need to impose on players what they do not like. No one wants to depend on charges on some charm. To make sure that your ideas are wrong, try to pass the 4th damage delirium in any melee class. Content Update 0.2.0 -- Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Nerfs

" Idk man. These games were never meant for "slow meaningful combat." The appeal to these games has always making your character feel like a god and being able to one shot everything. This isnt dark souls. Slow combat just makes it feel clunky and boring. I dont want to spend 45 minutes doing a single map. Diablo 2 was never about slow meaningful combat either. Fast paced gameplay is what makes these games fun. |

this patch will go like this:
people start different builds, find out that they do 0 damage and cannot survive white mobs even harder than before. streamers start non-amazon - then all reroll into amazon queen of the forest crit crossbow with weapon swap for shock(this build was not touched, even electrocute was not touched while freeze was removed from the game) edit - electrocute wa indeed touched, just less than freeze, at this point hwy even have it in the game? just make the name of the game poe1.5, remove cc from bosses, make all bosses have 20 invulnerability phases, add movement skills back into the game .... after a week 80% of ladder amazon crit cbow. balance patch nerfs queen of the forest, all crossbow skills that are remotely useable, all amazon ascendancy, nerfs to crit multi, electrocute removed from the game. online drops by 80%. wait 0.3 ..... The main problem with top-tier builds was a pure lack of diversity that stems from lack of good unique items. Ofcourse everyone were using HoWA and stuff because we didnt have anything on par with it. In PoE1 you have lots and lots of powerful items and thats why you can build different stuff and make almost any build T17 viable.

There are really good changes in this patch but my char will become completely useless.
Ingenuity destroyed Temporalis Destroyed Choir of the storm destroyed No Grim Feast Come on GGG, how much player can actually afford this build ? Guessing maybe 100-150k max players? If it is anything lower than poe1s most played league this going to be a huge failure regardless.

" no but seriously, how do you even use hexblast now, you need to wait for both curse to activate and expire, and it has less targets and damage. even though it was 1-button for the damage, i also used eye of winter for wither and crit, ground curse for large area control in bosses or ritual, contagion for chaos freezing, mana tempest for culling strike/premediation and frost walls to compliment cast on crit comet setup for single target (with like 1200 life cost per comet) on backbar. that really wasn't 1 button, but waiting for curse expiration now is just... counter-intuitive? how do you even play this skill now. |
