With 1 portal - 1 death and its over, with 6 portals you can ask someone to enter to kill stuff/boss, and still have few portals left. There's 0 challenge, there's 0 reason to invest into defences above bare minimum.
It's possible to carry people in the Trials. It's possible to contact a carry or friend just before the boss so they can kill it.
If you're gonna spew bs about challenge, go to SSF and leave everyone else alone.
Yeah, this should be permitted. Once you enter any trial you shouldn't be able to invite people to party. Also it shouldn't be possible to teleport out and back in.

I think you misunderstand.
I believe he's saying he's losing loot because he's choosing a more defensive build but it doesn't provide enough defense to actually prevent deaths compared to just building a glass cannon build and killing everything before it can touch you.
The issue here is that the safest build is the one that ignores defenses. This makes the tradeoff between defenses and offenses less interesting.
Maybe, but i still disagree because you can make es build tanky and you can make life build tanky. Somehow people play hc ssf on melee life builds and not complain.

Bro, what the hell are you talking about? Playing a glass cannon is a fucking choice YOU make. The only thing that made glass cannons the go to is that they were far more efficient at farming currency per hour.
And for the love of god, are you even paying attention to what the hell is going on now? Its STILL glass cannons at the top of the pack because the only defense GGG can balance around is all-out offense.
GGG needs to remove the overly harsh punishments from the game until they can properly balance it. I'm sick and tired of losing loot and time to random overtuned mobs and mechanics. No mob in this game should have a ttk on a player that is less than several seconds. Bosses are the exception.
I disagree. GGG needs to triple or quadruple down on punishment in order to promote tankier builds more.
You are correct in that playing glass cannon is a choice. But if you make that choice and keep dying it is on you. Not the game. Not its punishments. On you.
Do you play a class cannon build? Why are you even dying?
I am playing a somewhat tanky character and hardly die in juiced t16s. If you don't die, the punishments don't effect you. So you seem to be doing something wrong. You are not supposed to die.
Almost every death is a choice.
There are many levers in place to control the difficulty. Atlas passives, waystone tier, waystone affixes, ... all of them are controlled by the player. Their choice.

yeah, he just wants to be salty. talks about challenge and in the same sentence argues that you can get a decked out char for just 10 divine. what a challenge opening the trad site an be op at lvl 70. try that in ssf.

I said that 6 portals and no exp penalty make maps not challenging at all. Farming 10 divs for casual player is not easy, making good character with 10 divs also no easy, if you deny it, then no point explaining anything further.
Have i said anything about SSF, and how much it's harder to non-SSF, or about anything you said? SSF is obviously harder, like what the point of saying something this obvious.

I know you thought you were being clever, but you're not. And to tell you what you actually are would invite the wrath of GGG mods.
I shouldn't be locked into a specific playstyle to play the game. Right now, the balance is heavily skewed toward favoring either screen exploder builds. The only viable "tank" is a minion build. Every player character, even with multiple defensive layers, is capable of being 1-shot by random mobs. If it hasn't happened to you in a while, then you're just lucky, plain and simple. For a lot of us, the luck isn't so kind. I don't juice maps at all because I'm so sick of just suddenly dying or being thrown an impossible rare, and even then it STILL happens in maps with 3-4 non-damage mods.

maps are already not challenging. my point was that adding portals will allow for map bosses to be buffed. ssfbtw
Again, GGG will rebalance everything during EA, not once.
I get that your archmage or howa build, or any build that can make use of trampletoe boots, or few build that abuse something that not supposed to work, oneshot bosses.
But you know, there's other builds that not abuse everything possible to kill bosses in nanoseconds, and they do kill bosses in more ethical way.
Archmage will be nuked, howa will be nuked, GGG already said they not happy about that. They want to lower ceiling of those op builds, and they will fix unintended stuff. Which as result will make bosses more challenging, and nothing stop them from buffing bosses if so, while keeping 1 portal.

For some reason i can make my titan have 7k life with 80% max res and block, and just not die ever.
I can make my archmage not die while having low mana/es because i use stuff to make my survivability better, like temporal chains for example.
It's your problem that you refuse to ever look at what you can do to make your character tanky.
Get outside of that bubble of "defences not matter".
And yet, i can die, and its fine, it supposed to happen at some point.

Wrong, SSF is the same challenge. The difference is trade and multiplayer. You want players to not be carried or helped by external things, making it by definition SSF.
Or are you gonna backtrack in your mental gymnastics now? And before you say it, buying a carry is the same thing as trading.
