Can we have slow methodical gameplay from act 1 back please?
" I've been trying really hard not to think about it, someone posted on one of the other threads about this "its been fun ya'll" and its surprising how much of a brutal summary that felt I was tearing up a little lmao |

" How's that any different in PoE2? You learn not to stay in the circle that the witches from act one cast. You learn not hit the knights with shields being inf ront of them, otherwise the reflect would kill you, you learn to avoid the green floating goo that would annihilate you if you stay inside for too long. Once you learn it it becomes trivial - that's the case with any game. I'm not even sure what you're complaining about. I died so many time on my first playthrough to act one bosses and even regular mobs. I gave up and asked for help to cary me through act 3 boss (that paison lady, can't remember the name but you know who I mean). I died at trials of sekhema over and over untill I learned what to do and what to not do. I dreaded at the thought of doing the trial of chaos. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely. Learning the game is fun. Now I sit here arguing with you while grinding 10x Trial of Chaos (because I have a stash tab full of tokens that I was too afraid to even look at just a couple weeks ago). T15-16 maps are trivial and I do them to get to citadels, to gather fragments to sell to Arbiter farmers. I'm not confident in being able to do t2 Arbiter (did the first one) myself because my previous experience was a disaster. I did breach t4, ritual t2, expedition t3 and dilirium t1. Dilirium boss felt like I still have room to improve. Do I enjoy my end game? Absolutely. Grinding and turning once hard content into triviality is fun. That's the whole point. |

" Then keep playing your braindead games like PoE1. The whole point of separating PoE2 was to make a DIFFERENT game. There was no point in separating PoE2 if all it will be is the same retarded shit as PoE1 since 2016. Last edited by DemonikPath#1311 on Jan 22, 2025, 7:56:08 AM

" No it wasn't. The whole point was to make PoE2. Hence the name. And yet you somehow claim that the point was to make Elden Ring 2 and now you're angry that it didn't go according to your baseless expectations. Your anger is misdirected. Note that nowhere (no matter how fair it would have been) did I lower myself to suggesting you return to playing Souls-likes, though it's quite funny how you try to kick PoE players out of a PoE game. Do go on. Last edited by Rhogog#6908 on Jan 22, 2025, 8:34:29 AM

I love that the game starts out sluggish but picks up speed as you level and your build comes together.
If your character was still fighting mobs at the same speed at level 95 as at level 1 - where would the sense of progression be? |

" Ask Fromsoft, a company massively more successful than this one. | |
" What an absurd take, ever considered that if I wanted to play Dark Souls - I'd go do that? Or one of the thousands of clones? Oddly not doing that and instead playing PoE2... |
|
" it is not absurd, just the truth, imagine if at the end of darksouls we could teleport to the boss move faster than light hit him 300000 times otherwise we would get killed by his AOE honing attack? do you think people would still play that game? this is the problem, to compensate for the absurd people stack damage GGG is balancing boss for them instead of nerfing these builds, these boss are already impossible to kill unless you are one of the current 'five' meta builds, there is 12 characters, with a variety of builds with each character I can say there should be currently 30 viable builds across all characters, going Single hit is stupid so we have more than 50 builds not 'working' because of it, so 80 builds, 30 viable to get it at least to mapping and afterwards only 5 work, this is dumb, these 5 builds should be nerfed, we are playing with less than 4% of the builds currently and you think that is ok? WOW something is wrong with you. |

" Very different. I leveled 6 chars to at least Cruel Act 1 - this is where the most tactical gameplay is (A1-A3 normal). And I never had to change something in my combat with normal monsters (and in the endgame all of them are just A1 zombies, you stop even looking on them). The only combat where I tried to do something different (in A1-A3) were bosses. " I don't complain. I explain you difference between Diablo 1 and PoE 2, because we were talking about that. |

" I don't ask for Elder Ring 2. I don't even like ER or DS series. I want PoE2. I want it to have pace similar to how old PoE was. The pace and balance in early PoE was very well done, the problem was that PoE didn't have a very good combat. Then it just got completely out of control with balance, pace and item drops. I want PoE2 to be a real sequel, take what worked in PoE1 and fix its mistakes, even if current PoE1 community doesn't see them as mistakes - they still have their abortion of a game ruined by years of mistakes. I only gave up on PoE1 because it was too far gone in the terrible direction, there is no need for PoE2 to go in the same direction. Last edited by DemonikPath#1311 on Jan 22, 2025, 10:03:14 AM
