Who though that "1 death = all portals gone" adds value and enjoyment to the game?
If I’m level 98 and I go into a map and gets zapped and die I don’t care how many portals you give me I am NOT going in back there.
They are just making the harsh part of the game appear as early as possible. And this is exactly in line with the design mentality how hard day 1 Act 1 is (nothing to buy on trade). That being said I know what is happening it doesn’t mean I like what is happening. I think it should be easier at the start and gradually get more serious later. Act 1 boss should be to teach you not gate you. Act 6 boss can be as hard as f and give you all the final boss vibes so you feel victorious when defeating it. |

I went bloodmage and could immediately lay down the character, bc I I killed myself with 2 spells and wasn't able to get the gear or respects, I would have needed just to try to finish the campaign. I did a furious rant-thread about it. But about the topic: I think, ppl wouldn't be so mad about the 1-portal-thing, if the game wasn't such fun. 6 portal system works well for a reason. GGG tried to fix something that isn't broken, the solution here is to just allow players to use all 6 of their portals if they die. |

I prefer to see it as the Dev's have one chance to get it right ... not me.
6 portals you can tolerate certain bad game elemets. I died cause i couldn't see my character through the geometry.. ok try again I died cause a ground effect i was standing on when i looted .... ok try again I died to a mob explosion i didnt know was there because loot and ground effects blocked my vision... ok try again ... but with one portal.... that game play better be tight !!! one chance ! |
