One death per map is honestly fucking dumb as hell.
" That’s good insight. It also sucks and will kill this game’s appeal for 99.9% of players. If you care about death so much play HC. That option exists for masochists. |

I think it's good. The endgame just needs to be balanced better.

I love when people say they like 1 death/map.
Just Self impose the 1 portal per map then? I bet you wont if they do allow 6 portal deaths or more. These are the same people who Drive a pickup while saying everyone needs to stop driving them for Climate change. But will not stop driving theirs until everyone else is forced to stop first. You are hypocrites. What does 1 death/map benefit the game? answer: nothing It is solely a ego stroke to hold over others who don't like it or cant do it. |

Dying is not supposed to be enjoyable.
Or even encouraged. Its the opposite of both. So getting out of a map alive makes the rewards from them that much more meaningful. Plenty of changes are going to come to alleviate and help you not die as there are somethings that I could get on board with being overtuned on monsters, and undertuned on us. But the 1 death per map I think is a good system. Mash the clean

10% XP loss already exists to counter spam play.
If you love it then self impose it, and let the rest of the people have what they want too. My guess is you wouldn't because secretly you dont like it either but are more willing to accept it as you are a above average player. |
|
" They’re unlikely above average players. The above average players are either playing or quit already. These guys just want to LARP as them on the forums. |
|
" Yes, yes it should be. When you meet a boss for the first time you should expect to die three or four times to learn what the mechanics are, then another half dozen learning to execute everything properly - dodge rolls, movement, timing, right skills, etc... Now repeat that for the 200 bosses they have planned. But GGG can't make challenging bosses because of the one death per map rule. The punishments force the game to be easier than it could otherwise be. |
|
" Uh... no it absolutely should not. I didnt think I would EVER see anyone say something like this but... Yea here we are. Mash the clean

Man you must work for CNN your ability to cut context is astounding.
Give your head a shake and put away the keyboard for a bit and go read a book or watch a movie, my god. |

And you keep throwing these values out, in another post you said the same thing with like some arbirary 4 to 5 maps and you die being intended gameplay.
Is this your universal problem solving number range for issues or intended growth for something? Do I have to do 4 to 5 squats to see quadricep growth? 4 to 5 hours of sleep to feel rested? Comical/false responses aside; there is no set value for things, especially when it comes to learning mechanics in a video game, or overcoming obstacles either. Mash the clean
