The BIGGEST ISSUE with the POE2 community is THINKING IT SHOULD BE JUST LIKE POE1.

I know. Forums haters and doom sayers tends to form groups, because alone they aren't really scary. Only together can they be really annoying, and eventually destroy games just by complaining.

We are not doom sayers. We are 100% sure that they fix all the issues.
We just say it like it is.

Fix everything only YOU and your imaginary friends consider as issue, or else the game dies in two weeks. Right ?

This game already is PoE 1 but much, much worse. Objectively worse, dumbed down systems across the board. Boring.Bland.A chore.A slog. That's what PoE 2 is, and the more people get to endgame the more they will realize that. Also ain't noooo way most people will want to wade through the garbage, slow, boring campaign every 3 months for a new league lol(its only good the first time, then it gets super boring), max 1 character. Trying out a new build will be even more painful than the campaign in PoE 1.

This game is just PoE 1 but with nice graphics but way worse in every way imaginable and also making the same mistakes that PoE 1 made over its history of development even though the first game should have learned all of these lessons already. PoE 2 needs some serious changes before its actually in a playable state. Because right now the game just isn't fun. And it also completely disrespects the player's time because of all the pointless, outdated, archaic on-death penalties in it.

That's not objectively worst because a lot of people like it.

Are you sure it's not only your opinion ?

Have you considered stopping bashing the game and doing something more productive for yourself instead ? You say players' time need to be valued and they need to be respected, do you think what you are doing here on the forums is helping anyone towards that, including yourself ? Seems to me it does the exact opposite.

POE2 is objectively worse.
There are many features that if left in the game on release, will mean that it will fail commercially. And then everyone will go back to POE1 and continue supporting that.

Players like yourself revel in the worst of these features, calling them "challenges" and "skill filters" and "incentives" all kinds of elitist gobs-wallop.

This is a game played for entertainment and in some cases a form of escapism from our humdrum lives filled with stress and barely coping, feeling like we could be killed at any moment at random by some low-life on the streets. And we then lose the one life we had and don't get to having the loot we were looking forward to getting as we had one shot only.

So why on earth would we want to have that in a game meant to escape our all-too-grim reality of futile struggle?

You want to have that? Go to any heavily urban city centre and walk around with $100 notes sticking out your pockets. Don't have to pollute a game played for fun with that "gritty hardcore" dross.

I'm not really sure what you are after here.

Are you some sort of giganerd overlord that gets to decide what is fun for everyone, or what is a legit complaint or not from a subjective metric?
If so, all hail DWQRF, we bow to your wisdom.

If not, stop presuming to tell others what they consider fun, what they think is broken, or a problem with the game.

I'd also like to point out that POE2 lost 200,000 players over 3 weeks, the last two of them at a time were gaming is at an all time high. People play a lot more over xmas and new years normal. Check steam numbers.

That's 40% of the player base before a month has been reached.

You tried to put it into hyperbole to make a point, but you aren't actually that far off if you consider the player pool GGG managed to sell the product to.
So you probably think that made your point, but it actually made theirs.

Or you know the issue is that the game is terrible...

I don't blame you. Before playing PoE1 for serious I had a lot of shit takes about the game designs in general.

The campaign is indeed a bit slow.

Imo it will feel a lot better if they give us "20% movespeed" and a faster dodge right from the start.

But they'll have to make the telegraphed monster attacks "track" the player for longer before actually attacking or else it will become ridiculously easy to dodge everything.

I mean... it already is once you get 25%-35% movespeed.

Ok.
You don't understand why I'm here. I'll tell you :

You hate the campaign (slog)
You hate the endgame (lenght, difficulty, portal and XP).
You hate the gameplay (not PoE1)
You hate the gem system (jewelers/supports)
You hate the talent tree (simplistic)
You hate the gear (affixes and tiers)
You hate the crafting (orbs)
You hate the looting (currencies and rares)
You hate the trading (people do better than you)
You hate the mapping (again, portals, and towers/exploration)
You hate GGG (game design, holidays, comm)
You hate spending time in a video game (too long and hard for your precious time)
You hate other players even though you don't play with them (elistist/hardcore/SSF)
You need other players to give value to your enjoyment (dead game soon)

So tell me. You, and your little group of haters/doom sayers. Why are you here on the forums ? This is not feedback anymore. You hate everything about this game, we get it. Do you realise you won't ever be able to change ALL the features of this game you dislike even by complaining about it every single day since the beginning of EA. You are never going to be satisfied with the state of PoE2 and the "vision". Never.

So I'm here to tell you, nicely, with all my heart : do something else with your time and your energy. It's New Year : make the resolution to chose positivity : make a positive feedback about what you'd prefer in the game OR change your mindset to enjoy things as they are OR go play something that makes you happy. Can you be satisfied by something in your life or hate is all you can create for yourselves and spread to others ?

It's really simple.

Stop hurting yourselves by doing something you don't like, stop playing a game you hate, and stop trying to bend reality to excessive impossible lenghts to fit imaginary needs.

Happy New Year.
