The BIGGEST ISSUE with the POE2 community is THINKING IT SHOULD BE JUST LIKE POE1.

I could sit here pointing out countless reasons why the community is COMPLETELY lost, filled with "Experienced" players, "Professionals," "Legendary players," and everything else you can toss into a pressure cooker and seal shut, constantly saying that "POE2 is far from being POE1."

It’s almost a joke. If you love POE1 so much, then stick with POE1! See how simple and magical that is? Don’t bring me these twisted ideas like "My character has to blow everything up" or "The character needs to move super fast." If that’s what you want, stick with POE1, or should I say "Vampire Survi..." Oops, hit a nerve, didn’t I?

The slower and more punishing POE2 is, the better. And for those complaining? Go back to POE1.

You are not in position to tell people what they should do.

The [very] successful characters are already zooming around and blowing up the endgame. Sure seems PoE1-ish to me already.

As for the tone of the game I do think there's a problem as I feel that there are three distinct tones already.

1. Initial game feels slower & deliberate. Harkens back to some D1 & D2. Don't forget that the game can get deadly if you're not careful.

2. Somewhere around late A2 or A3 [with trade] the game gets significantly easier. It's still slow & deliberate but much easier. This lasts until roughly T10+ content.

3. To be successful and keep progressing some combination of DPS the boss down instantly OR CC the boss forever seems to be the successful way to go.

IMHO the best thing GGG could do is to pick a tone then rebalance through the whole game to match the tone. This will benefit the players and GGG themselves.

Why are you telling people what they can and cannot do ?
rather a pointless post don't you think.

Some of the most successful video games of all time have been direct sequels to their predecessors. They have done that by taking what succeeded in their first games and bettering it whilst also pruning out the crap.

You only have to look at games with sequels which have dumbed down the experience to see how well they've done, dragon age 2, a number of assassins creeds games etc etc.

If you are going to name a game identically and slap a number 2 on the end then its kind of expected that the most obvious approach would be to use all that data you have and prune out the things that didn't work and hone the ones that did.

because nobody should tell others what to do?
I dont think you have experience enough as a developer nor as a PoE player to decide whats right or wrong.

That's exactly what GGG did.

They took the best part of PoE1 and made and amazing game called PoE2. It is what it is.

You don't agree ?

Maybe that's because you are part of the people that loved the worst part of PoE in his first version. But fear not, PoE1 is still working and you can always play it if you really can't enjoy the upgrade.
