The BIGGEST ISSUE with the POE2 community is THINKING IT SHOULD BE JUST LIKE POE1.
" it's actually pretty easy to play poe1 and point out how glaringly disappointing poe2 is at the same time, the alt and tab keys exist you know. |

many people says poe2 is different. so why they named it to poe2? I am very disappointed with the direction the game has gone. this should be upgrade of poe1

" There are several builds that blow up the game and are just outright overpowered. So I dont know what you are smoking but its probably illegal. |

PoE 2 was built around being a slower more complex gameplay for the character but they forgot to implement that for the mobs. The few builds that actually work well for the top tier content are those that are able to clear long distance and fast.
Some of the biggest issues I have noted are the below I just don't really know how they can change them to adapt to the style they originally intended on. #1 - Mob Agression I originally thought this was actually mob speed but it is more the agro radius of mobs, they actually target and agro you from the edge of the screen if not further. This gives the player far less time to setup these skill combinations and creates more of a reactional style of gameplay rather than a tactical one. The extreme speed also exacerbates this issue by not giving players enough time to even use half of the abilities provided to them. If mobs didn't actually agro you until you saw them or got a bit closer then you would have time to position yourself and skills to lure each pack. I don't know how to fix the speed issue as without them being stupid fast then they are just going to be cannon fodder or bullet spunges. #2 - Wide Area Rare Mods These are actually detrimental to the games slower more methodical ideaology as they prevent you from being able to set up your combo skills by forcing you to constantly move and kite the mob away or by destroying them before there massive aoe storm kills you. The way to potentially fix this is the reduce the cast rate but make them far more dangerous and telegraph the AoE Personally I would just prefer not to have them and have more engaging rare modifiers instead. An idea I had was giving them different "Weapons" that defines the types of skills they use Eg: if it is wielding a two hand mace it would use mace skills, although probably a bit to late to implement something so drastically different. #3 Time Based Content - Delirium/Breach I am still trying to figure out WHY these were implemented into the game in their current PoE 1 formats. Breach was easy to change into a wave based system that just gets more mobs in it with each wave you kill, with each wave you kill the timer expands. This type of system leans far more to the methodical tactial gameplay they were going for rather than just flooding the screen with mobs. Breach mobs have the added issue of actually pushing you around a LOT which leads more to forcing you to obliterate them on site. Delirium is a bit harder I have no really great ideas on how to slow this down but I do admit it is not as bad as breach in its current format. Actually slowing fog regression in line with the slower gameplay would probably make it more bearable. |

good analysis sir!

" Yes if Poe2 ends up going back in the direction of Poe1, it's because of how badly designed the game is in relation to it's gameplay philosophy. First they'll try to pivot into Poe2 style, they'll have to massively change enemy speed, density and behaviour, maps should probably be a fraction of thier sizes. Every overpowered build will be nuked to enforce the "correct" way to play, everything balanced around long mace attack animations and slow cast animations like lightning conduit. Every time new content is released, about 10 new jungroan builds will have to be nuked. this often results in lower end builds getting damaged aswell, Just like what happened with cast on X skills. Over nerfing whilst intended to increase build diversity, has the opposite effect (see Helldivers 2). Everyone just ends up leaning towards whichever few skills still feel comfortable because they feel they don't have enough power any other way, and eventually the player base gets bored or frustrated and leaves. GGG will realize perhaps spitefully the "VISION" isn't going to work, and well get poe 1.5. not because of people complaining, simply because of the devs lack of foresight. |

" Any combo gameplay goes out the window when mobs are charging at mach 10. I find myself enjoying and dying far less to bosses as usally its the only thing to worry about and has well telegraphed attacks. The dicey parts of fights are when they spawn the damn mobs. This used to be a 'hey flask charges' in poe 1 but these buggers are so much more threatening than the boss. One cannot help but wonder how such a lust for loot can affect a persons mind. Although these exiles appear to be our salvation, it would not take much for them to turn on us as easily as they fight gods and demons.

Path of Exile ---> Path of Exile 2
This game was supposed to run along side of Path of Exile. Things did not work out so they broke it into two games. That does not mean would should not expect less from the title. Path of Exile 2 is a copy paste of Path of Exile. In all honestly they just increased the graphics and made the game play a lot slower from most classes. We have zero new mechanics. They just removed movement skills, crafting, crafting bench, and 5 of your portals along with the fun. Mapping in path of exile is way better. So they made it crap on this. They let us choose what we want to farm in poe1. They took that away in poe2. They had to water down both passive trees because these days most people can't think. It was also supposed to bridge the gap in between leagues. So you play both games. So your logic is pretty hilarious. |

its going to be a lot better when it patches up to have everything missing from poe1. i dont think it will be long before we get normal mapping back and loose waystones and the whole unnecessary world map and all the node bullshit. its just so much more clunky and a downgrade from just popping in a map to a layout u like with only the mechanics u choose in it with the juice u like

" This is probably because they never considered "less is more" concept. Instead of making much less but more worked out stuff (like they did in the very start, introducing combo skills) they simply attached [almost] whole POE1 to the game with all its inflated powercreepy mechanics most of which by their very existence invalidate core POE 2 [advertised] concept. And, of course, it failed badly. |
