Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access

This issue started for me last night.
The game was running perfect and fine, I paused it for a bit and stepped away and when I came back, every 2-3 seconds, my ping spikes to 150-200, my game micro freezes and then speeds up to catch up. Over and over and over and over. Nothing I have tried has worked. Not sure what changed. This started happening suddenly when the game was already open. |

Yea, I've done it all. Changed network settings, deleted shaders, I've even completely uninstalled and redownloaded the game, tried it with a VPN, nothing works. It started happening to me last night after I had the game paused for a bit. I came back, unpaused and boom, every 2-3 seconds, my ping spikes to 150-300 and it lags. Changing the network setting to Lockstep made it 10x worse. No idea what changed but the game isn't playable like this, which is a big shame. Was really, really enjoying this patch.

In my case, removing my Ethernet Switch and plug my ETH cable directly from Router to PC solved the issues with the lag spikes, at least for now

Did anyone have this network spikes during the free weekend?
I did not, it was running perfectly. And then like 2 days ago the bad instance 30k ping started again. Did they turn off half of the servers now that the free weekend is over and that is why I get this? Idk. Last edited by Dreamer92#5374 on Sep 7, 2025, 4:32:39 PM

Still unplayable after todays update. Constant lag/stuttering.

" Same here and unfortunately GGG does not even care. Email support said they don’t offer technical support 😂. That’s one way to play it - take money and then don’t offer support if the game is unplayable. |

yea it super horrible, i am getting 3000 ms on nighttime mostly are nearly unplayable, morning and afternoon is still okay.

Started my final ascendancy, was going super well and randomly 3rd floor is a bad instance so its over.
