Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access
|
Then why does this issue only ever occur with POE 2 or POE 1 but no other game or product has issue?
Not saying you're wrong but it's intriguing that ONLY Poe exhibits this problem. |

So per the last feedback provided about my MTR ping trace I picked up a new ISP today and lo and behold all lag vanished.
My previous isp insisted numerous times everything was good and there was nothing on their end, turns out they lied. So pay attention to those ping traces I suppose! - sad that if you’re locked into poor ISP options though it’s likely PoE suffers, it’s the only game that had problems like this for me. |

Yo, I just looked at ur screenshot. Ur problem is actually way different than mine but just as bad lol.
Look at the column that says '%' (the second one). That's ur packet loss. Basically, ur computer is sending data and the internet is just... losing it. Heres the breakdown of why ur connection is dying: The modem is fine: Row 5 shows 0% loss, so ur router/cables are good. The ISP is failing immediately: Row 6 (tukw-dsl) shows 23% loss. That means literally 1 out of every 4 things u do in-game (clicking, moving, using a skill) is being deleted before it even leaves ur ISP's neighborhood. It never gets better: Once u hit those 108.162 rows (Cloudflare/network nodes), ur loss stays around 12% to 17%. Ur not even hitting high latency like I was (ur 'Last' column is only 21ms), but with 17% packet loss, PoE2 is gonna feel like it's stuttering and freezing every 2 seconds. Basically, ur ISP (looks like Qwest/Lumen in Seattle?) has a broken node right at the start of ur connection. U gotta call them and tell them u have 20%+ packet loss at your first hop (tukw-dsl-gw77). Thats a physical line or equipment problem on their end. Good luck man, ur in for a long phone call! |

+1
Its not your ISP Game runs fine no issue, then all of the sudden KABLAMO LATENCY SPIKES EVERY 30 SECONDS I was gaming for the past 3 hours, No issues with latency untill now, so how is this my ISP when its this inconsistent? Its not, It's the horrible optimization thanks to rushed updates |

" Traffic Jams: Think of your ISP like a highway. It's fine at 2 PM, but at 6 PM (prime time), it gets packed. When it gets packed, the router at Hop 2 (tukw-dsl in our friend case) starts throwing packets in the trash because it can't handle the volume. That's his 'KABLAMO' right there. Bad Routing: Your ISP might be 'load balancing,' which means they change your path every few minutes. One path is clean, the next one is a dumpster fire. That’s why it works for 3 hours then dies. The 'Smoking Gun': Look at Row 6 in his pic again. He 'Sent' 74 packets but only 'Recv' 57. The game hasn't even seen those missing packets yet. It's like mailing a letter that gets lost in the post office—you can't blame the person you're writing to for not answering. Cheers Last edited by Rodickys#4877 on Jan 9, 2026, 6:44:29 AM

Can they really not just add predictive mode like poe1? It's ridiculous that this is still an issue even if it is in EA. I have zero issues with literally every single other online game. It's only poe that has ever done this. I have a 5080 and 9800x3d so it's definitely not my pc

Crazy this is still happening. Happens to me too. I have to change from CA to TX servers to have any chance of it stopping.

Chiming in to say the issue is alive and well.
Frankly, all the evidence points, at the very least, outside our houses and hardware. Could be code/server related, could be some backbone providers not playing nice with each other, who knows...My MTR Log using the Milan server for example clearly highlights the issue. https://pastebin.com/RN869KnX Support denied my refund request too which is straight BS, though I m also to blame here not buying the game through Steam. Big mistake, lesson learned. Crazy how there is not an official statement either, considering this is literally the largest/most active topic in the category. Cherry on top, they refuse to provide any tech support through email. Nice, they take your money, and then refuse to support you. Pure Scam. Last edited by thegm963#6343 on Apr 27, 2026, 5:37:21 PM
