Network lag
" Yeah that sucks but the problem much more consistent and worse in my case https://youtu.be/WIpbDroggVA |

" Hm, in my case those spikes happens in random moments, but in your case they happen at equal intervals. Strange thing. Last edited by Coldsteelj#0124 on Dec 9, 2024, 1:42:43 PM

Same here.
We play as a party of three, only two of us are usually affected. Same map, same instance, 2 out of 3 people have lagspikes Can only be fixed sometimes by creating a new instance |

have the same issue. only way I am able to play is to go hunting for a VPN tool. There has to be a better way to run this net code that does not mess with different ip addresses

Same lag spike bug that has been hunting POE 1 forever and was the reason for implementing the predictive vs lockstep setting.
Cant believe its still here, renders the game unplayable (at least HC). Last edited by Startkabels#3733 on Dec 9, 2024, 5:38:13 PM

Still happening and much like the video above, that is my experience also just playing alone by myself. The game becomes unplayable between the hours of 7pm to 11pm EST. beyond those hours the game is fine and buttery smooth.

I work for an ISP based in the valley in California and we've had reports of issues with POE2 and the servers.
For us, we use a few different Transport/Transit links to move data to and from the network. It is primarily level 3 who supplies a ridiculous amount of Transit/Transport links for the internet as a whole. More than likely, the data center in LA/San Jose where the Transit/Transport hubs/main routers are are pathed weird for whatever GGG is trying to do. I've also had issues (based in central CA) and I'm on comcast internet and so have a few of my friends who have a few different internet services. The main thing I've noticed is not the latency spiking but the jitter (difference between the highest and lowest latency) and when jitter gets higher (like even 10ms) the game starts to have issues. This is REALLY weird because I'd say you could have 40-60 jitter and still be fine if your average latency was 10 ms. Anyways, I do find it strange that a game that is 80+ Gb's relies so heavily on needing to be connected live. Seems like they could just make any solo instance not use a live connection and then reestablish the connection when you're back in town. Anyways, good luck friends, I'll see you out there. |

Same issue here. Fiber channel, tried different gateways and VPN - nothing helps. Stable 50ms in town - random spikes 10-250ms in every zone despite that ping to instaces is stable.

" Yes, exactly. There is not a single game where 10 ms ping jitter make stutters except PoE 2. Also, this is strange that my friend have those jitters too, but without any stutters. I guess this heavily need in connection was made to prevent cheating. |

Its so annoying the need to fix this asap
