Network lag
" This actually improves it a lot, not perfect but a great help! |

Bump - it seems that my ISP routes correctly during the daytime but around 6pm PST (california At&t fiber) it starts the lag once again. Using my phone's hotspot makes the game playable but it being my phone's cellular connection I still lag once a while.
POE1 is fine though, no lag whatsoever with my ISP. |

I started to have network spikes after a wonderful 25 hours before that. Changing instanced doesn't help. Europe.

Ran like butter on launch but each day it just gets worse and worse.
Went from a little stutter to a slide show Dedicated launcher or Steam. All times of the day. Not just high traffic or late at night. Multiple different ISP. Isn't happening on any other game not even PoE classic. Wild thing is it's completely random. In town, or any area. Tons of enemies around with all sorts of spell effects, or standing still with nothing around. Changing instances, switching servers, restarting the game and/or PC, sacrificing your first born, turning of chat, or making any of the multiple changes to the in game settings. Nothing stops it. I'm sure they're aware, but I would like to see this show up in the known issues. Because from what I can tell this is a world wide problem. FIXED FOR NOW I Uninstalled/reinstalled and it works like it did on day one. Maybe some kind on massive memory leak? Doesn't make sense only effecting some people, but that's what it feels like to me. Last edited by bobbyburger#4438 on Dec 9, 2024, 6:34:43 AM

I haven't been able to play at all since Friday, december 6.
My character is still on the beach because my latency goes from 17ms to 1000+ every 2 seconds. Doesn't matter when I change servers, I've reset my router, nothing helps. It's monday december 9 and still can't play.. Could a developer please let us know that they are aware of this problem? Last edited by Mr_machine87#7615 on Dec 9, 2024, 5:59:33 AM

" Thank you very much for this advice. If I create instance with 23ms ping there is almost no stutters at all (still happens sometimes but barely visible). Unfortunately after death or teleporting back to instance it often change server and ping increases to 60ms. After that I get a lot of stutters and need to recreate instances until I get 23ms again. |

Can confirm I experienced this issue yesterday (in EU) and saw someone else mention ExitLag worked for them. Picked up the 3-day trial and haven't had an issue since. Hoping this will be resolved before the trial ends, but for anyone else completely stuck, give that a try for a temp solution.

Has the same problem.
I am in Uzbekistan, playing on Moscow server, have a lags started. Enabled vpn to Frankfurt and played on Frankfurt server - no lags. |

For developers: here I captured small video with tons of stutters when I played with friend today https://youtu.be/L1XP01uiJfQ . Now, the real problem is that me and my friend live in the same house and use the same internet provider. We both got the same Ping, but when my ping wasn't stable he didn't have any stutters/lags at all and his ping are always stable. Also, it is hard to notice when you watch video, but micro-stutters may happen even when network/latency graphs stable. I can reduce this lags only if I create instance where ping isn't higher then 23ms, but that is not a problem for my friend since he don't have any lags no mater which ping he got on instance.
My Specs: CPU - Ryzen 7 5700x GPU - RTX 4070 Super RAM - 32 Gb M2 Samsung SSD disk. Operation System - Windows 10 My Friend Specs: CPU - Ryzen 7 5600x GPU - Radeon RX 6600 RAM - 16 Gb Some SSD disk OS - Windows 10 So, what the hell is going on here? We both don't use VPN. I'm also experiencing high latency spikes every 25 seconds or so. Checked with my ISP and everything is good on their end. Even tried using ExitLag to find optimal routes and that did not help. This is a problem I've occasionally experienced before in the past with PoE 1 (3.23/Affliction was the last league I played), however, it's much more persistent with PoE 2.
