I'm too soft for Poe2

It is EA. Do yourself a favor and dont play Warrior. It feels incomplete. Play Ranger to enjoy at least for now and wait for changes. It is EA for a reason.

PoE 2 is the dark souls of ARPGs. Its a complete shift away from the gameplay of PoE 1.

Dark Souls are CRAP games, 1-2 are flops, none of them reached 300k simultaneous plays and they all die weeks after being released, even Elder Ring (which completely strayed from the Souls formula and is therefore the least bad) has no retention and the point is, an ARPG is a grind game where you redo the content several times, Souls are games that you finish and never look at them again until maybe when a remaster comes out...
Is this the path that GGG expects for POE 2, a game whose league lasts 1-2 weeks?

aa lol at DS is a crap game. It came from a company with ZERO , literally ZERO dollars in marketing. Yet it made more impact in game world than almost anything EA made on last few years...
Skill issues and expectations are just two reasons why some people posting aren't playing instead.
I love POE2. I feel the boss difficulty is kinda uneven in act2, and the dungeons seem to drag on forever, but it def feels more like an "action game", and not a POB build/currency trading simulator. Less math, more game. Lots of diehard veteran POE1 fans are going to be turned off I imagine.

You need a controller to really have the most fun, because combos and positioning. With sorc I had a blast with charging ember fusialde and then using firewall to "release". Then use power siphon to manually cull, manual DD to clear stragglers. By POE1 standards that's already 7 more buttons than people want to push haha. Feels glorious though.

With lv9 gems, combine fireball with unleash and scattershot, feels incredible. Not OP, just lots of fun on a modest 3-link.

I'm sure the die-hard streamers/buildmakers will come out with actual OP one-button builds if not already, but IMHO that'd be a real shame. They just have to tone down the boss difficulty here and there and it'll be perfect.

The game is challenging, but not crazy hard.

I got to Act2 yesterday, and the act1 boss fight was very difficult. But I DID NOT go level (i was lvl 17)...I learned his pattern after maybe 10 tries, was able to kill him.

This doesn't seem that bad. However - the thing that annoys me, is that I feel like I should be leveling when content is too hard. But i don't really want to level right now
As summoner, game feels better after you get Summon Raging Spirits. Raging Spirits are summoned automatically when you cast a fire spell.

SRs + (Ember Fusillade + Unleash) + Solar Orb = Good!

Still SSF mode, got 5 exalts in act 2.

To me it feels like a slogfest and (again to me) feels clunky. Game looks great visually. The weird floating movement thing is weird and feels bad. THe roll having collision is weird and feels bad. Bullet sponge bosses feel bad.

The difficulty is ok but the leveling experience, so far, feels slow and clunky. After leveling one, not sure I would have any desire to level another.
Game feels like ruthless. I'm playing a freeze monk. Only cold skills, chill+freeze, herald of ice, the bell. This is probably a bad idea as I get the idea you need to mix multple elements/ailments, but I've had decent gear and got to level 32 with relatively few issues. Mana and life sustain was a pain for a while, but I have some leech now.

Overall the campaign isn't really that interesting, feels like the usual cookie-cutter middle eastern accents with not-very-original world building. The visuals/art is very good though. Just have no interest in the characters, people, etc. Spam click through the dialogue.

Bosses are fun, though I haven't really had to learn many of the mechanics. A few yes, but I tend to just spam my freeze and other skills while mashing dodge roll and I seem to do OK. Some bosses you have to learn the patterns which is nice. But it doesn't yet feel "souls like".

Overall... reserving judgement until I get into maps. But having enough fun to continue. I mean, what else are we going to do, go back to poe 1? LOL
I was ready to punch my monitor on the devourer boss.. Think i died 10-15 times on the monk. It's not that it was hard i knew the mechanics after the first death. It just felt like it was over tuned or the monk was just really bad at that point.

Once i made it past that i died maybe 1 or 2 other times on other boss's but when i started getting better gear / talents it started to feel better.
I only made it to level 10 due to some personal issue so i can't speak on anything after that.

I get the frustration of most but i also think people should be patient as I have confidence that they will fix over tuned or under tuned characters and mobs or the bosses.
Everyone wants instant satisfaction.. Give them time as it is Early Access.

The game is gorgeous and played pretty smooth for the most part.
