Hard crashing PC locks up

And what impact do you have from your moral high-ground over there?

I am not "moral high-ground over there". I already posted many many times what you can do. Post WER / mdumps / dxdiag.txt to GGG, MS, hardware devs, including CPU / GPU. Collect as much technical data as you can. If the game(s) freeze your PC, refrain from playing it till the problem gets resolved. [Removed by Support]

I'm just curious, and this is a legit question for you.

So again, I ask, why are you so adamant on blasting people explaining their issues and in some cases literally begging GGG just to COMMUNICATE with them (us)?

Because instead of posting technical details, that will help to resolve the issue, [Removed by Support]

1. Post tech details
2. Don't play the game till the problem fixed.
3. Profit

[Removed by Support] It's just a videogame.

Just so we're clear, PoE1 does not run without issues, it has this exact same crash, and has since at least ultimatum. It's just gotten worse with 24h2 and settlers specifically. It almost exclusively crashes for me when entering kingsmarch

I know, the problem was bandaided by GGG but NEVER was fixed by the driver / OS / API developers. The time has come to fix that design flaw / vulenrability by the guys from the industry, not just GGG. It's not game-wide issue, it's OS-wide issue, because your entire OS crashes.

if you dont have the problem, stop posting here, this thread is for BUG REPORT, not for you to try to educate people or say what they need to do/think

Maxed out GGG resorting to arguing on the forum instead of addressing our issues. If I ever see that developer's face again on YouTube I will leave a negative comment and dislike the video. What a joke of a company, sincerely BUZZ OFF!!!
Still crickets from the development team on this?

No posts in here or on X, so I'd say yes, still total silence.

Why can't they say something like "we're aware of the issue. We think A/B/C are causing it and it'll take X/Y/Z to fix it."

At this point their silence makes it seem like they have no idea what's going on which just makes me think they're inept.

That's what gets me, just say something. The 2 biggest threads on the forum are related to this but you've said nothing pertinent on the topic. It makes GGG look like they're avoiding addressing the issue.
1) they know what’s causing it, and don’t know how to fix it

2) they know what’s causing it, but it requires additional support from AMD, Intel, NVIDIA, Microsoft etc and is taking longer than expected to fix

3) they truly don’t know what’s causing it, therefore they are unable to fix it

The longer this goes on, the more I truly believe GGG is just playing optics here. This is simply about maximizing profits while the game is in Early Access. Any sort of public acknowledgment that their game is causing CPU’s to over heat and hardware is in potential jeopardy is very off putting for potential buyers of the product. And if this was to catch on news outlets? Who’s buying it at that point? Thus, the best course of action is to say nothing and work behind the scenes to fix the issue.

We will likely never get anything more than a line or two in a future patch that says “applied a fix for crashes that cause PC reset.” - we will be lucky to even get that much detail.

Really scummy practice but from a business perspective it’s actually a smart move to not speak on this. It’s a damn shame though and it makes me appreciate Blizzard that much more. I’d rather pay a premium for a working product than half the price for something that can damage my hardware

Because they are
I was having this issue so bad. Is this still an issue for ppl? I went before xmas last year and brought another SSD and luckily I had an old WIN 10 installation usb boot drive a key and reinstalled everything. Quite a move but Ive been enjoying crash free gaming for a number of weeks now.

I am surprised that GGG have not communicated more regularly on this however im not sure how many users this is still affecting.

Did the recent 0.1.0f Hotfix 1

Adjusted thread priorities to reduce CPU over-utilization. This can help prevent crashes under specific circumstances.
Fixed a client crash that could occur in Ultimatums.

Have any help with this by any chance?

It must be game issue, because my OS never crashes.
I use Discord, can watch video or twitch on other monitor and it doesnt affect any of that at all, only game goes boom and disappears from the screen
