I had an freeze yesterday after interacting with an Strong box on a map, juuust right before monsters spawn.. Seems like monsters spawning (in quantity) is causing the issue aswell as load screens :\
That's great to know, if they still read this thread it might help locate the issue.
Still sucks when it happens to us but I did not get it as much as the loading screen freeze. 100% the same type of freeze though.
EDIT: Did it happen to you prior to last patch?

PoE 1 has the same issue. Is that also a "unfinished, buggy and glitchy" game? Or are we not allowed to complain about that one because it is "free to play "?
Get lost.
Babycrying again, it will help 100%. PoE 1 runs without issues. If you're satisfied by the quality of the mechanisms working behind the scene (drivers, OS, etc), enjoy your crashes. Next time ask them to fix your api instead of applying bandaid from GGG.

We can complain as much as we want. We paid for it. Deal with our complaints..
So basically having zero impact on the situation. Keep going.
And what impact do you have from your moral high-ground over there? If you are so bothered by ppl complaining, then do not interact. If you are not having these issues, good for you! Go and play. Otherwise, you should be aiming for the fix as well. People are complaining about an issue that they want fixed, just as everyone on this forum is. I fail to understand what your motives here are besides putting yourself above us "plebs"

Guys, my game freezes not only during map or game loading but also when using ALT+TAB. I switch back to the game, and it's frozen. Does this happen to you as well?
Yes, going back to desktop and back to the game unfreeze it for me in the alt tabbing case.
It doesn't help me. I have to end the process through Task Manager and restart the game. The game freezes during ALT+TAB very often.

I'm just curious, and this is a legit question for you.
Why are you so adamant about shutting people up about a game breaking issue they are having? So game breaking that it is affecting their computer hardware?
I just don't understand what benefit you get from being in this thread doing what you are doing. People are understandably upset that they can't play a game that they paid for, and if they do try to play it, they might brick their computers.
I get that there are hundreds of thousands and even millions of combinations of hardware / software setups out there. That being said, a piece of software (in this case a game), shouldn't require the hundreds of thousands / millions of configurations be changed or upgraded just to run the game in a stable non-crashing way.
Anecdotally, the configurations having problems (the ones people have posted in this very thread) look to be WAY over the recommended min required specs that GGG released to run their game.
This issue rests squarely on GGG. There are fundamental problems in the code and engine of the game.
So again, I ask, why are you so adamant on blasting people explaining their issues and in some cases literally begging GGG just to COMMUNICATE with them (us)? Its highly uncharacteristic of GGG to be silent, complete silence on the issue. That's what most people are upset about. If its a complete problem where they need time to restructure the code and it will take weeks / months to complete, so be it (I hope that's not the case). Just COMMUNICATE is what we are asking.

Nice to return this morning to continued silence from GGG both here and on X.

Because he’s so unimportant to himself that he thinks that crying about our tears is actually worth his time.
Or maybe he’s actually Gina from Customer Support and is tired of receiving e-mails.
Either way, I pity someone who worries so much about what I think about this game.

Just so we're clear, PoE1 does not run without issues, it has this exact same crash, and has since at least ultimatum. It's just gotten worse with 24h2 and settlers specifically. It almost exclusively crashes for me when entering kingsmarch

Actually crazy to not have had a single update on such a serious issue for this long. I was patient and decided to leave the game for the holiday period, I get that the devs are away. But we're over a week in to January and they can't even acknowledge they're working on a fix?
The game is quite literally unplayable. It's not some obscure in-game issue or bug that can be circumvented. It's not an occasional crash to desktop. It's a complete PC freeze, every single time I try to load past the character select. And it's only PoE2 that has this problem for me.

I didn't tried yet, was about to do it but saw many comments saying it's still on going.. i guess i'll wait few more hotfixes, or an actual patch for this..
It's just too much frustration + the risk to damage my hardware, i prefer not to take.. it's just not worth atm for the fun i get in exchange (wich is peak btw, mind how frustasting this is)

Hear hear, the IT expert has spoken. Source: Trust me bro? Try selling that lie to those affected.
