Hard crashing PC locks up

Ok I have been trying to do several things to fix this on my own, going into power management, limiting cores, switching to vulkan etc and nothing seems to work. i did have some success with lowering power management to 90% was able to play pretty much the whole day with no problem level my ranger from 1 to 13, switched to my level 12 Mercenary and BOOM instant hard crash. Could it be the Mercenary class? How many of you crashing are using the Merc? In any case GGG has to address this ASAP!

More and more often I have these freeze, MEGA annoying.

I played Poe 1 quite a bit when it first came out. I went back to it over a year latter and this same kind of crashing was happening so I gave up and moved on. Now I am unable to play for the same reason. I am wondering if they even have any idea how to fix it.

For anyone experiencing a lock up where you have to hard reset your computer, have a look in event viewer for issues with the windows gameinput service.
This happend to me on Windows 11 and it turned out I had two copies of the service due to a MS update, POE2 was the only game that locked up like this, here are the steps i followed to resolve. -Uninstall the Gameinput app from apps and features. -Restart PC -Open services and set the gameinput service to automatic and start it. Problem solved for me, I hope that this helps some others. |

Disabling engine multithreading before teleport or area change seems to help.
Also now with multithreading disabled i can login without crashing. act 3 areas are crashing very often. |
