Hard crashing PC locks up

The crashes are a result of updating to windows 11 24h4. They are aware of this, but why it's taking so long to fix I'm not sure. Dunno why you think it's a GGG issue as it's affecting multiple games from different studios.

They are not a result of upgrading Windows. I went back to 24h3 and it's the same. I did everything you can see in this forums, nothing worked.

are you talking about crash or a complete freeze of computer? I switched to win10 and those freezes are completely gone. Crashes are not gone - like game crashing to windows. Let's separate those two things.

If you actually read the Microsoft Article, it specifically says "Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are no longer affected by this issue due to temporary hotfixes deployed by Ubisoft. While these fixes mitigate the crashes"

This was affecting all Ubisoft games at launch of 24H2 and tons of other random software as it is causing a NTDLL.dll panic. There is no real information provided in the system log.

You can just look through the various threads on the GGG forums to see that effectively everyone that lists their winver on the crash & loading threads is in 24H2 or later which tells me that is more than likely the culprit. The reality is that getting an official response from GGG about it would be appreciated b.c. my computer crashes 70% of zone/login attempts.

It happens on previous update and it happens on windows 10. Crashes are not the result of updating windows ffs. It's been proven i nthe thread multiple times![/quote]

Yes, the crashes have nothing to do with windows update. Two days ago I reverted back my win11 update and I was still crashing. I play all the latest games with no problems. POE2 is the only game where I crash.

Why do people keep saying this? This is not solely caused by the 24H2 version of Windows. In those same threads that you cite you can find plenty of people reporting it both on earlier versions of Windows 11 as well as on Windows 10, which stops its support at version 22H2. The version of Windows, and particularly version 24H2, are not the only cause of this problem.

I had around 20 complete freezes and manual restarts since saturday, my PC is working well with ANY other games, i can't try more.

I spent over 1500$ on this game, waited the release of the second for years, and all i have now is a HUGE risk of DESTROYING my entire setup...

Got my hopes up with the Windows update. Actually loaded into town, but when going through portal crashed again.
No joy on the windows update for me.

Windows update was just a security patch.
