Hard crashing PC locks up

Yeah I get this on both versions of POE seldomly and run Win10. It's a lot worse than the client just crashing as i've lost 2 HC builds in deep maps from it which is by far the most disappointing way to rip.

You can just look through the various threads on the GGG forums to see that effectively everyone that lists their winver on the crash & loading threads is in 24H2 or later which tells me that is more than likely the culprit. The reality is that getting an official response from GGG about it would be appreciated b.c. my computer crashes 70% of zone/login attempts.

Why do people keep saying this? This is not solely caused by the 24H2 version of Windows. In those same threads that you cite you can find plenty of people reporting it both on earlier versions of Windows 11 as well as on Windows 10, which stops its support at version 22H2. The version of Windows, and particularly version 24H2, are not the only cause of this problem.

It's obvious to me because it happens during POE1 too, and it never happened, ever, before the 24h4 update. 99% of the people writing in this thread have 24h4. Not trying to argue but it's clear in my case that 24h4 is causing these load screen hard freezes. I'm not saying GGG can't potentially fix it either, just that it started after updating to 24h4.

I had this issue on my Desktop with Win 11 24h2 and after fresh install of 23H2 I still have it.

On my Rog Ally I have 24H2 and not a single issue. It's where I've being playing poe2
A lot of us unable to pm dxdiag file because we can't get far enough into the game for forums to recognise us??
You may only message the Support account at this time.
last patch has made it worse, 5 attempts to login character with 2 cores disabled on 9800X3D which used to work.... 4 crashes out 5 attempts, got in 5th time, first boss i faced and crash again, act2. Win1124H2 using vulcan, 4090 with latest drivers. Going to play something else, just a waste of time.
Still happening.
Windows 11 23H2 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD

Guys I found a fix that had alleviated all of my frustrations. It’s called black myth wukong, which surprisingly I can play for multiple hours consecutively without a single crash despite what windows version I’m using.

I have very limited free time as I work full time and have children. The last thing I wanna do when I sit down to game at night is sit here and troubleshoot and risk my hardware. I’ll enjoy other games until we get a confirmation that this is fixed. What a shame

Wait are you telling me you don't need to system restore, set your TDP to 65w, turn off cores selectively, process limit the .exe, reboot hourly, and disable multiple new GPU features in order to run it?
