POE 2 early access paywall

"

meanwhile POE charge you money for stash tab, which very unlikely to have 4 tab to beat uber elder

Pretty trivial if you know what your doing, which has nothing to do with stash tabs :p

I do think its fair to say you really should spend $20-$30 on stash tabs to enjoy PoE like a relatively normal player but it is disingenuous to say it isn't free it isn't some scumbag f2p phone game or usual f2p release where pieces are cut off/hidden/paywalled etc.

A free player can get 40/40, kill Ubers, do Aul, delve to 4k, Sanctum an original sin literally everything a player who bought some stash tabs can do they just have to do more inventory management bs.

Which is made easier by the fact almost everything that drops is worthless lmao

the 4 tab behind is the cripple in trade , which most POE experience is based on.

POE is basically free, just not so many people can reach end game if you are cripple.

Don't tell me join a guild and they feed item to you to ease the cripple on trade

maybe learn what free to play means

That is rather ironic.

nothing ironic about it
You people are tripping.

Spending at most some entry level support pack worth of money is not pay2win - you still have to put in the hours to fill those tabs with something worthwhile. There are players who spend Thousands, Tens of thousands on mobile games for extra resources - THAT is pay2win, [Removed by Support]

There will be PLENTY of players playing Early Access to test all the features, so why would GGG want to make it free to lure players who make zero research on what Early Access is and then complain about how unfinished the game is?

In this case, I believe Early Access paywall is indeed a good thing because we know it is not a cash grab or scam. If someone has an issue with it, there are like 1000 great games to play in the meantime.

There is much in what you say but why market the game as Free to Play when it clearly is not? It has a 30 usd price tag at the moment and will be discounted to 0 dollars in half a year to a year.

PoE 2 will be free to play when it releases. Early access is not the release.

It is a soft release. The game is released and ready to be played. It is just a marketing naming.

you won't waste space to flip items if you have only 4 tabs

Your tab will be full of currency, map already.

There is a small chance you really drop a HH and it takes 2x1 space only. But the currency you made still take a lot of space

That is essentially what pay2win means. Overcoming a challenge or making it more accessible with real money. That is why stash tabs are, in fact, borderline pay2win.

I'm not getting into this for the 1000th time in any detail but no it isn't, if you believe this its because you've never played a game that is actually pay to win.

Stash tabs are a convenience but you aren't winning anything by using them, in actual p2w games somebody who gets their wallet out is pretty much untouchable by somebody who doesn't.

Edge cases like this just devalue the term to where its worthless to use as a descriptor, come up with a new one and save pay2win for the insidious shit it belongs with.
