"And? This is nothing new. PoE 1 did it, other popular games do it (Hades 2 is a good example) and they're successful. I do not see any issues here. |

" no. There is no one single mtx that cost $480 worth of coin. Please list the example that WOW mtx is way cheaper. Also, there is no such f2p in WOW. Free trail cap your character level and they still charge a lot for the actual uncapped account monthly fee This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. Ahhh, this post is the same dumb stuff people say about Ashes of Creation alpha.
Don't want it, don't buy it, simple. You think such content isn't worth $30, don't buy it. It's a great filter to keep servers load stable and just let in people who really want to participate in the testing of the game. You get MTX and points worth the money you spend on the key, I don't really see a reason to moan about it on forums. The game will be 100% FREE on launch. No one says you have to play it now. I bet you are one of those who play a game during early access, or alpha/beta and cry on forums how buggy a game is. Also, you have 4 supporter packs, and you moan about paying for a free game? Really?! |

PoE is not a free-to-play game for a long time, already.
You can't progress through the end-game with all the game mechanics without buying stash tabs, at least. It is just impossible with basic 6 stash tabs. It is like saying that you can have a fish-boat for free to travel through Atlantic ocean OR you can buy a seat on our cruise liner. Technically, the travel is free, but you can't do it on a boat. PoE1 nowadays looks more and more like a fan-made fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players. --------------------------------------------------- RiP PoE2 [December 9, 2024 - August 29, 2025] Last edited by judikator#2053 on Nov 22, 2024, 5:53:13 PM

" It’s basically a free trial. You can play through the entire campaign and see if you like the endgame prior to paying for anything. Compare this to D4 where people paid $80+ to play through a campaign and realize there was no endgame. I bet PoE reviews would be pretty bad if all the casuals paid a ton upfront to get merked by hillock or merveil and quit. Tytykiller was talking about a game journalist not even being able to beat one of the beginning bosses in PoE2 at the early test. |

$30 is really fair imo, just look what other companies are doing
Ashes of creation charges $120 for alpha test keys that only last a few weeks Blizzard asks $60+, annual $40 for expansion and still have a MTX shop Then theres Ubisoft, EA.. etc We also getting 300 points to spend that we might need anyway for potential new types of stash tabs Sure free would be awesome, but cmon it's $30 thats like 3 kebabs nowadays and GGG worked more than 5 years on this |

" if they were truly free to play and completely relied on users' support, the company would have quit in year 3. this game has the same development costs as any other and worse game (d3, yep), yet you think all people playing this game averagely spent the same as d3 users? if you played poe for 10 years and spent less than 1000$, you leeched from those who overpaid. crazy, ey? age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
