lol this topic still aint dead i see.
my hot take, instead of having gender swapping, allow us to use any of the character models for any class that we choose. for example we play as a witch but we choose monk as our ingame model. what cost am i willing to forego? homogenization. make all conversation refer to the exile as "the exile". since we already are getting cutscenes, homogenization would be the best way moving forward to begin with. For me everything is fine and in place, for me such changes are unnecessary, each character has its own lore and history, connection with NPCs along the way, and a unique image, it's like making Lara Croft a guy, why...
Before someone will hate me - it's my opinion and i have right for this |

I absolutely don’t care about gender of my avatar, I personally prefer they spend ressources and time on things that matter.
You don’t know what % of players care about that. |

I love how you present this post like its a problem that needs solving and people other than liberals want this. Stop, ok?

" did you just assume someones gender here? please use gender neutral 'trust me immediate sibling' in the future, k thx |

" It's called Path of Exile, not Tomb Raider - Adventures of Lara Croft. In a Tomb Raider game, I'm fine with Lara Croft. In a generic RPG, with a cash shop, classes, skins, I'm not fine with preset characters. It's really that easy. Don't begin to tell me how the characters are established and all bcs I finished up to act 3 and the story isn't particularly centered around my character either. The gender lock is just lazy - nothing else about it. |

Yeah, we'll just double the character workload across the board. Real simple.
General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.
